Fastpass+ back to Four Choices

When recently booking fast passes for Hollywood Studios, I stumbled upon what may be a glitch, but it allowed me to select and confirm Four Fastpass options. Is this back to the norm, or just a glitch?

I was just going to start a thread on this.

I just went to check on FP for this Sunday and I ended up with 4. The standard "pick 1/pick 2" options came up and I did my regular picks: Midway, Tower, Star Tours. When the times page came up it showed 3 rides, half with my pics half with Lights Motors Action swapped for Tower, which isn't that weird.

But when I went back to my itinerary page it had 4 FP. I swapped out Lights Motors Action for Indy so see what would happen and it worked as normal.

I tried a few other days/FP combos for DHS and it seems that it will only let you pick the 3 and then adds in Lights Motors Action, Indy, or Voyage of The Little Mermaid randomly - but you can swap that 4th to anything in the "lesser" category that's open.

I made my three selections for 5/15 and only wound up with 3. I'm guessing a glitch.

I did a quick re-check this morning and it looks like it’s still assigning 4 FP for 3/28 - 3/30. Last night it was randomly working about 2 weeks out, but that was as far as I checked. I can still pick new FP and it auto gives me 4.

It could be some kind of test because it’s still going on …? Like: give X number of people an extra FP to keep them at DHS longer. I know they’ve deliberately used the FP system to influence crowd levels before.

I hear many reports of 4 at all the parks so it is either a change or a test. Maybe if they get up to 10 I can spend a full day riding rides. I sure don't want to spend $105 to go to a mall where all the stores sell the same merch.

You can do it at DAK, DHS and MK, but evidently it's not available that far in the future. I was able to do it for tomorrow, but not Mid-May

Edit: It's available through April 1st.

Yeah I miss the old system where I could just continuously get on rides with zero waits all day as many times as I wanted to!!! That's how it worked before FP+ ruined Disney World, right?

It is not a glitch it is a "bonus" fastpass only available until April 1st.

Seems like it. If the extra is tier 2 at HS and EC, it shouldn't be a problem.

Go to Disneyland. That park has enough E and D tickets to distribute the crowds. Locals think a queue is "long" if it hits 45 minutes. Ha.

We had planned to end our trip today but decided to add tomorrow so around 7pm I started to do fps and it did 4 for me too.

It's for peak week. If you have 4 fastpasses it takes you longer to use them up so you spend less time getting extra at the kiosks. Also, the bonus ones are usually for less popular higher capacity attractions, again trying to spread out crowds.
