Thanks everyone who responded. Seems like an interesting idea that with a little bit of forward thinking, could be a nice addition. I mean, add some "animals" along the bank like jungle cruise and it could be a fun little adventure. I agree that with an expanded footprint of the park this could be a feasible mode of transportation. I feel like all I do in AK is walk and walk and walk. There's not a ton of attractions for a park this size and this would help people enjoy what is there without completely exhausting them.

I don't think anyone expects a return of the Discovery River Boats. People are simply expressing a desire to have a variation of them.

That said, most of us don't think that the previous docks would be the ideal locations anyway -- they are too central and close together for an effective transportation system. Docks on opposite sides of the park would be more practical if this is intended for transport (as opposed to be a "ride").

Gosh, the water looks so stagnant here. I wonder why the water here seems to have that problem so much more than waterways in MK and Epcot.

It'd be great to see boats again just so the water sees a little more movement.

I also like these threads that ask a question that can be answered in one word that continue for 3 pages. We do have a long way to go before this reaches the hat thread.
