Hello all!!! I am very excited to post that my husband and I are headed to WDW the third week in October and we will be celebrating our 11th Wedding Anniversary! We were going to go last year on our 10th, but my mother was ill and I opted to care for her instead. We will be staying in Pop Century and will be there for a week! This will be the first time that we are going together alone without other family members and are busy reading up on all the wonderful places to eat and making the plan for the ADRs 180 days out! I will be posting here I am sure with questions for all of you Disney Gurus....I know there are MANY (questions and Gurus)! I have enjoyed this site for many, many years and am now becoming a part of it!

Aaesome, I went that time last year. It's a great time to go. Stayed at Pop as well. Have fun

Thanks! If everything runs smoothly between now and then, I KNOW we will have a great time! I love riding under the Walt Disney World sign and it's like all the cares in the world stop right there! I LOVE It and it has been too long since we have been.

I think dining at California Grill and ending the night with fireworks atop the Contemporary Resort would be a great anniversary dinner!

We have been discussing what we are going to do on that night. My favorite Disney movie is Beauty and the Beast so I was hoping dinner at Be Our Guest with Fastpass for Wishes afterwards. But the California Grill is an awesome thought as well. Thanks for the suggestion!!! I'll consider it!

You are going during a great time of the year. By mid October the temps have broken and it become quite comfortable and the daily afternoon monsoons have hopefully taken a break for a few months. You will have the Food and Wine festival going on in Epcot and the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party in the Magic Kingdom the see if you want. My 2 favorite times are 2nd to 4th week of October and 1st to 3rd week of December to visit WDW.

That's a d*rn good idea as well. BOG gets panned for its food so much, I often wonder what people are expecting when they walk through those doors. It's not a signature dining by any stretch (like the incredible CG ) but it doesn't claim to be. However, when you talk about atmosphere and over all dining experience there are VERY FEW non-signature TS that compare. If you're a Beauty and the Beasts fan as well then you're going to be thrilled.

You've got a solid plan there. :D enjoy!

This is what my boyfriend and I are doing for ours in May! I'm super excited.

@DisneyChild1968 Have fun! That's super exciting!

Awesome! It's a really cool experience. The food was amazing and they have a great selection of wine. Their servers really know how to choose a bottle in your price range and to your liking. When you go out to the observation deck to watch the fireworks, make sure you go onto the newer deck which it towards Bay Lake. It will give you a better view of the fireworks.

The third week in October was my favorite trip. Nice weather, reasonable crowds, Food & Wine Festival, and MNSSHP. You can't go wrong. Maybe you'll even luck out with a free dining promotion like we did. We had been booked at Pop, but the promotion was free regular dining plan for mods and deluxe, and free quick-service plan for values. It cost us $27 more to stay at Caribbean Beach Resort with the regular free dining plan that it would have to stay at Pop paying for the upgrade to the regular DDP. So we got to stay at a Moderate for the first time which was really nice. Enjoy your trip and your planning!
