can you get a bus from the water parks to downtown disney or do you have to go back to your hotel first? If you can't are there taxis available to use instead?

For one of our last stays one of the waterparks was on a loop with downtown. I want to say we were staying at Caribbean Beach heading downtown and I almost sat in a puddle of water in the seat from the group was coming back from the water park.
Worst case I would just figure out what hotel is closest to the water park and go there to switch buses.

Some resorts will stop at typhoon Lagoon on the way to the resort from dtd on that loop but they don't have one that goes water park to dtd at least not that I've ever seen

I think that most resorts stop at one of the water parks on the way to DTD. You would have to inquire with the specific resort though but I'm sure they could answer your question. Which resort are you staying at?

I have a bus question as well, in stead of starting my own thread I'll piggyback on this one. I know they were testing buses going from Animal Kingdom to Disney Springs (Downtown Disney) are they still doing this? Is this a permanent thing?

I believe that test is over but I'm not 100% but I haven't seen an AK bus at DTD is some time now

As of last week, if you're at Typhoon Lagoon, the ONLY buses running after 2pm are EPCOT buses. To get to DTD -- literally across the street-- you need to take a bus to EPCOT, get a bus/monorail from there to any resort hotel, and take a bus from the hotel to DTD.

I hate to say it, but I'd honestly avoid DTD until the Disney Springs makeover is done. It's chaos to get there and with only one bus stop, getting to West Side is quite a walk.

We won't be there until the end of May, do you think it will still be chaos? We usually go to DTD for a bite to eat after a day at the water parks but usually go back to the resort first, but we realised that TL is just across the road and didn't make sense to go back to the resort first.

Hard to say. On one hand, it seems like it'll be this way until Disney Springs is finished, but on the other, I find it hard to believe that with summer coming, WDW will force everyone leaving Typhoon Lagoon to go to EPCOT every day. The CMs at Typhoon Lagoon suggested we take one of the taxis waiting there, since it's so close, so that's another option.

Thanks for the reply. We thought a taxi would be good but weren't sure if they waited outside or if we needed to call one?

It's pretty bad. Their just now building on the 2nd parking garage. Took us about 20 minutes to get from i-4 to parking lot (at team disney) last weekend on Saturday. I'm sure it will be worse at end of may. They have lots of attendants and signs to help. It sure will be nice when the structures are done.
