DAKL Kudu Trail

I'm going through the online check-in process for DAKL and I have the option to select "Kudu Trail View" in my room requests. I only booked a standard view so I'm not sure if this means anything. There's no option for Zebra Trail or anything else.

Kudu trail is on the left side of the building in between sunset and Arusha savannahs. If it is offering it to you I'd take it as it will be much nicer than a parking lot view.

I've just never heard of the ability to make a room request that would usually be an upcharge. Has anyone else seen this before?

Actually, this is the norm for AKL. We stayed at AKL back in 2013...I had a pool view bunk bed room booked...but when online check in rolled around at 60 days...I had 3 different non-Arusha savanna view options for my room preferences. And yes, they honored it...and no upcharge.

Same there! We paid for a pool view this last March and ended up with a Savannah view at no charge! MAGICAL!
