Akhershus Photo question

Silly question - but we just made our reservations for dinner at Akhershus (yeah!) In the policy it stated that the complimentary photo package is no longer available for 2015. Does that mean that there is now an option to buy the photo or that they no longer even do the entrance photo with Belle? Silly, because Disney being Disney I'm sure it is the option to buy, but I figured I'd clarify.

(It stated the same policy for Cindy's royal table - and if that is the case, they have some nerve at that price - Include the darn picture)

Hmmm....good question. I would assume there would still be a photo opportunity available for purchase since most other character meals have that option, but that is just a guess.

So glad we made a visit before they changed the policy since this is the only place you get a photo with Belle in her ball gown and a M&G - she is my daughter's favorite princess.

Wow, really? So if you make a breakfast ADR at CRT for 2 that costs you $110 at the time of the reservation, the photo with Her Highness is no longer part of the package? You have to pay extra? Will you receive the photos before you finish your meal like it is now?

That's really low, Disney. So glad it is closed for refurbishing for several months next year (couldn't do the birthday breakfast next year for my daughter), or there'd be You Tube video of a crazy woman punching out a few Disney employees when told "the photo package of Her Highness with your Princess will be an extra $100. And have a Magical Day"....

i can almost uunderstand Akhershus...but for the price you pay for the Royal Table - that is insanity that it's not included. How much could one picture cost them? How much profit could they actually make selling them?

I am now curious if, when going to Akhershus, if you still take the picture with Belle first, then get seated.

I'm not happy that even though you will now be PAYING for something that was previously included for free in an expensive character dining experience you won't be getting the themed photo holder. Inconvenience for just who, Disney? That was part of the whole magic of the photo package....

Way to go Disney, so lame.

I thought I read somewhere that although you won't get the actual prints that they will be making images available digitally? Not sure tho....that would have been a few months ago that I 'may' have read that.

That would mean it will become part of the whole memory maker thing. Why not leave it the way it was? It wasn't broken and you made so many little girls (and their parents) happy.

We just moved our ADRs from here to Via Napoli, it was always a borderline "worth it" place for us and the loss of the picture kinda drove us away. But it's cool because with the money we saved changing we paid for Memory Maker so even more pics! The kids will just be sooooo excited when I make them stop at every MM spot in the parks
