Me and my wife are going to f and w for first time. It will be our 7th wedding anniversary. We are both into wine tasting and wonder how good the seminars are? Do you get to taste much and are they worth the time? Thanks!

We went to one of the inexpensive seminars last year. There was one or two wines we were served and a single dish which was basically a grilled salmon sandwich it was worth it imo. We also did the tequila pairing lunch and a lunch from Chefs Bryan and Michael Voltaggio and they were both multiple courses and we loved them.

Think EvilQueen was showing you a pic of a food seminar. Those also pair with wines. I do these every year. They do have just wine seminars with no food. They go into detail about the wine and I do believe you get more then the 1 glass that you get with the food pairings since the whole focus is on the wine. Usually it is a specific winery that showcases their stuff.

We did three last year.

Two wine and lunch pairing - one at Via Napoli and one at Tutto Italia. Both were well worth it. Decent pours, and excellent food. Educational and interesting.

We also did a wine and cheese pairing. That was in the festival center. It had three people, one cheese expert, one wine expert, and one host.

The host was the most annoying woman - ever.

The wines were very good, the cheese was excellent, and they kept refilling wine glasses - so that was nice, and the buzz made the host tolerable.

Would love to do the cheese and wine but I think those are limited to a few days. Correct me if I'm wrong.

They are every week for the run of the event. I think ours was on a Saturday morning (10:00 or 10:30 AM)

We went later in the event (mid November) and they were talking about how they have done this now 8 or 10 times so far this year, and there were a number of faces that showed up for all of them.
