Best Restaurant in Epcot for a picky eater?

Ok, I'm willing to admit I'm picky. My main pickiness being a hatred for onions, which wouldn't be a problem if I wasn't vegetarian. But the vegetarian option always seems to have onions. :( Anyway, I like simple food and I'll be on a budget since I'm eating at the Royal Table and BoG the day before. Any suggestions? I had Mexican on Thanksgiving a few years ago, which was quite good but I would like to try something different if possible. I'm also definitely willing to order off kids meals if those choices seem better. :D

If its quick service you want then the restaurant in the American pavilion has your typical burgers, sandwiches, and even a amazing steak which I get every time I go. For sit down dining I love Via Napolis pizza its amazing but can be pricey.

I agree with the advice to look at menus online. I'm a fairly picky eater, and little in life is more frustrating than an expensive restaurant coupled with food that one does not enjoy. Look first.

I would just look at the menus on all ears as suggested by @HRHPrincessAriel and then once you get to the restaurant you choose, ask the waitstaff to prepare the meal just the way you want it. They are more than willing to please guests. I once had a meal with chicken on a bed of arugula......I am not a fan of arugula. I asked if I could have it on a bed of romaine and they were happy to do it. Just ask.....what is the worst that can happen. Have a Magical Trip! :cat:

Went with my sister last year. She is a picky vegetarian/almost vegan. - nothing too spicy, no tomatoes - she had a list.... Steer clear of Beirgarten. She had a rough time finding anything she liked and the vegetarian options were very limited. Akhersus was her favorite meal by far with a mushroom ravioli in a cream sauce. She enjoyed Via Napoli's pizza and the quick service in Moracco had awesome falafels.

When planning out our food itinerary, we had to attend to me sister's need and accesibilty to food far more than the two toddlers. Take a look at all the food blogs available to see prior to going all the vegeterian options on each menu. When making reservations you can note that you have special needs and the chef - or at least well informed waiter- will take you through the meal.

I didn't even know about all ears, thank you for that suggestion! Seeing how many snacks I want to eat I might just make meals out of those. :hilarious:

Your sister sounds a bit like me. While I can deal with tomatoes, I don't like them much at all. Thank you for your suggestions.

The restaurants in WDW all prepare their meals to order (no microwaved platters!) so most dishes can be prepared without an element, just tell your server and they will be happy to help. The only exception is if there is a sauce with, for example, onions or chilis in, which would be pre-prepared that morning in a big batch, but most meals can be customised to the guest's request.
