When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Oh my. Just saw this and showed it to DWifey, and she and I were both ready to go get one. :hungry: A little too late now, though. :(

BTW: I was talked into us getting another pup. My family can never seem to have less than two pups at a time...ever. Company and all. I'll post some pictures of Belles little brother, "Indy", tomorrow. :D ;) :)
Awesome!

What a day!

I had originally planned only do :
  • Ship Package
  • Pick up the Formal gear for the formal nights at the cruise.
  • Eat in the big mall that housed the Formal gear store.
But a variety of things added spice..

First:
To send a package..
I drove a few miles to ship a package.
just to find the authorized dealer not having forms for securing the package.. and they even dared to ask me to pay 15 USD more for their lousy service! (I told them to F.O. ).
I went to to find a closer official office of the shipping company (had to do 1 loop to find it).. managed to ship it with no problem and the service was VERY fast.

Then....
Car was starting to fail! It was malfunctioning!
It was shutting down randomly when the car stopped for traffic red lights or when setting the gear to neutral..
had to keep forcing the engine to rev up to prevent it to shut down..
So, It was a loooong 30 mile ride trying to keep the car working.

Thanks god It didn't shut down. Managed to get my glorious butt (with the car) to an electric car parts shop (whose owner is someone I know).
I still had to replace the battery (half the 6 cells were dead) and costed me a big chunk of money.

Then, The disappointment...
My formal gear was not ready yet and I Have to return tomorrow (groaaaan)

Despite the crap weather, I got out to the craft store after a friend (enabler!) tipped me off to a 70% off faux flower sale. I got two stick wreaths, a bunch of flowers, two faux birds, two faux bird nests and it cost me under $40 with enough parts to spare...so I will be making a new basket for my office.

My initial summer wreath plan looked like this:

But after flower shopping and sorting, I came up with this: (and pardon, I was wreath making out on the deck, because why not)

Final product, after a little fluffing and placed on front door:

I made an identical one, but with a different bird, for my Mom.

I realized that I still had my, ahem, Easter carrot and bunny decoration on my front door and needed to switch it out. I normally come in through the garage and hardly ever really use the front door... The tip off came just in time :)

And pardon the slightly craptacular pics, I took them with low light and on my iPad. They're not the best. My regular cameras batteries are charging :)
It looks really well!
the bird is a really nice touch!

I still say you committed a sin in the last part.. NO IPAD PHOTOS.. EVER!

My dog and I love horses. Daisy took to them right aay, and because of her...err, ditzy demeanor, the horses rather like her too! When we go to South Park, she drags me to the horse stables and the horses KNOW her, and come out and over to the fence. They sniff and lick each other. It's so cute, it hurts :inlove:

That looks adorable!
You know whats missing? a cute video of them interacting!
