EXCERPT FROM THE CAPTAIN'S LOG

06/20/2014 2344 HOURS

37°47'10.82"N 122°26'31.42"W

We have made it through 2000 posts, 'liking' each and every one. No land is in sight on the horizon yet, but the instruments show approximately 11,000 more posts to go. The crew is becoming less motivated-- must try to lift their spirits. We shall trudge on with determination, despite whatever may lie ahead.

Pot is not that big a deal in the True North Strong & Free.

It has been de-criminalized, which means you now just get a fine, not a record, for simple possession.

Pierre Trudeau's son is the leader of the Federal Liberal party, and good old pretty boy Justin Trudeau is planning on legalizing pot.

This could be our next Prime Minister, according to recent polls:

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
@JenniferS I see you're around. How did it go with the son?

Are you posting from jail?
I've enlisted the gf's help.
She'll straighten him out.

She's a smart one, headed off to University on a pretty substantial scholarship. As gaga over him as she is (and she is, trust me!), even she doesn't want to be saddled with an unemployed, unemployable dumb-a$$ boyfriend.

My cousin was kind of like your son. He got "expelled" (and by expelled, it was just for the rest of the school year) from HS for having pot on school grounds. My aunt (who's kind of coocoo) once threatened to kick him out of the house, even giving him a deadline to get out, but never ended up doing it. Since HS he worked for a year, decided he didn't want to spend the rest of his life doing crap jobs, and is now enrolled in a community college for graphic design. Not sure if he still does drugs, but he's much better off right now than he was a couple years ago.

Also, my aunt asked my mom once "don't teenage boys just always smell weird?" My mom said, "No, why?" To which she replied "(Name) always smells weird when he comes home." Gee, I wonder what that smell was.... but she's too oblivious to realize what was going on.

I know in my heart that things will turn out okay. Eventually.

This is the scripture I just keep repeating over and over:
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

I did my part. Brought him up right. Took him to church. Walked the walk and talked the talk at home. Set the right example ....

Now it's up to God.

A solid smack upside the head every now and then never hurts. Well, maybe for him, but that's besides the point.

Heading out for the night. I bid you adieu!

*insert picture of Craig, Geoff, Secretariat, and Michael all looking away*

Can you tell I've been catching up on The Late Late Show recently?

You're missing a good one tonight.

He had some guy bring in a bunch of different animals. That never goes well.

Jack Hanna on Letterman is always the best though.

Best film of all time ... seriously is Titanic.

I know this to be true, as I read it on the internet.

Probably in one of hundreds of my own posts to that effect.
GAAASP! I TOTALLY DID NOT KNOW! :O

I'm sure I could find somewhere on the internet that says Gigli is the greatest film ever made too. But I'm lazy so I won't.
that movie was bad, but cant be worse than AVATAR THE LAST AIRBENDER from M. Night Shimalanddingdong.

In other news, I finally seen HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2.

3/4 of the movie was fantastic, very touching moments.
until they shoved some...
Like Stoic dying... or losing Toothless
too cramped together.
Its like they did the movie excellent with awesome passing in the first 3/4 of the movie, then tried to cram all the action in the remaining 1/4.

I swear they did the same mistake with X-men days of future past (too many tangled stories, so few time to explain them all in detail)

so yeah, last 1/4 was too rushed and crammed for time limit problems.
I honestly think 3/4 of the movies would have been done perfectly as a fine separate story a la "The Empire Strikes back"... and the second part of the big fight a la "The Return of the Jedi"

Id give it a solid 85%. but very subpar compared to the first.

Also, the Spanish release had some serious issues..
they changed some voice actors and the difference is big... then you have the problem jokes feeling soo forced in Spanish...they are not funny..

that's my rant and mini review.
