When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
You are going to be there for NJ days... that might cause a slight uptick in crowds.
Yes, thank you.
We were there for Jersey Week two years ago. While not ideal, it still beats Thanksgiving Week, for which almost every resort was available.

Don't get it.
Two of the slowest weeks of the year - nada available.
One of the busiest weeks of the year - I can have pick of the litter.

I am absolutely gobsmacked!
Just spent an hour at CAA, trying to hammer out dates.

Our preferred dates of Nov. 12-22 or Nov. 13-23 are not available anywhere, except Coronado Springs executive suites for $14K. Yeah right!

I have tentatively booked for Nov. 1-11 @ All Star Sports. (NOT my first, or second ... or 10th choice, but hey, it's still on-site.)

If Hubby ends up joining us, that room is going to be a tight squeeze for four of us.
Veterans Day is also during then. I'm sure some people took some vacations since they'll have a long weekend.

Some of the rooms may not have been released yet. Check back in about two weeks. You may not get free dining, though.

According to the TA, room availability with Free Dining started out with crappy availability and has steadily gotten worse.

Also, for the first time ever, Disney is not allowing people who have already booked to switch to Free Dining. She said that is unheard of.

We are creatures of habit. Our last 8 or 9 trips have all included Free Dining. We have come to tour a certain way because of it. Hard to explain if you don't know what I'm talking about.

I don't even qualify for free dining. It was offered when I was there, but I took the 35% AP discount instead, and ya can't get free dining and the AP discount. Plus it was a counter service plan, and Bestie and I were planning on doing TS meals (she's Italian, I like food, we could afford it, we did TS meals). DVC doesn't offer it anymore either; you'd have to pay for it separately. We haven't used the dining plan in years. We didn't like it very much. We're big appetizer people but can definitely do without dessert. To me it was more trouble than it was worth.

Yep, I hear ya.
The plan doesn't work for everyone.

Over the years, our touring plans have evolved around the DDP. Free Dining is just a bonus!

Other major problem is that my brother, although 12, still eats off of the kids menu in most cases. Only place where he eats an adult meal is Teppan Edo. And he's lactose intolerant and refuses to eat fruit, so a lot of the desserts are out for him.

Same for us.

I would never pay for the DDP, but free DDP is a nice deal. I could see taking a discounted room rate offer instead, but wouldn't consider paying full price, as expensive as it's gotten.

Strangest thing ever.

I just saw the most recent post (in a different thread) says "Ignored Member".
I have never seen this before.

I only have one person on "Ignore". Glad to see it works.

So does it show their avatar and the time but put 'ignored member' in lieu of their post?
