Coronado Springs Nature Trail?

So we stayed at CS in 2012, and we loved it. Will be going back in October.

I remember reading in several places before our last trip that there was a nature trail at CS, but never got round to looking for it. I've been reading around again and looking at maps and I can't find it, although there are references to it around.

Anyone know if it is still there and if so where is it? If it has gone, where was it, just out of interest?

That trail closed many years ago. Not sure why but it was removed along with direct bus from CSR to the Boardwalk.

I can't help as to exactly when or why the trail went away, but I can confirm it was there in February of 2002. My wife and I were there for our 1st anniversary and we stumbled upon the trail. I remember is so vividly because we spotted and watched a rather impressive snake sunning itself just a few feet away from the boardwalk.

On the path towards the ranchos, as you walk past the dig site stairs (on the left) and cabana 8a (on the right), you see a path going behind the dig site with a sign that reads cast members only. That was the path. It exits in the rancho section.

lol, they use it as a shortcut for CM's to get across the resort
