Disney Dining (Unofficial Site) said yesterday that 7D Mine Train was on the FP+ website now but anyone who comment on the facebook post and me included was unable to see it so Im not sure how far in advance it goes but not showing up in Late May yet.

I just checked. It's not showing up for June 6th either, unless it's already completely booked lol

It is not on the FP+ selection page yet, but if you go to the specific attraction page, then it has where you can select it but for now it just says no times available

Maybe they meant on the fp map? There's a star there and when you click on it an arrow shows up, but you can't select it. It's definitely not available yet or it would say standby available in the list (if all the fps were gone already).

I emailed Disney about a month ago to see if Annual passholders were going to get a free preview like when they opened the new Fantasy Land. The short reply from Disney was NO. I started thinking then something was fishy, since no real date had been announced.

I'm not risking one of my other FP+ selections at MK on a "this might be open by my trip."

This seems like a perfectly good reason to get a FP+ for SDMT. If it is open, then great...you get to bypass the line. If it's not and you're holding a FP+ for it, then I think it'd fall under the same rule as a ride going down. It's my understanding (not experience...I could be wrong) that in that case you'd be granted an open-ended FP for any attraction in the park at any time. So, bummer you can't use it to ride SDMT, but it's even better than using it to reserve some other specific attraction at a specific time.

That said...Seeing the queue is one solid reason to not use FP+...one that I hadn't considered until now.

What I was saying was that I'm not going to not book a FP+ for something else because I'm hoping one will become available to use for SDMT. If they start offering it before I get there, great; I very well may change one of my existing ones to make room for it. But I'm not going to only have two FP+ booked in advance just because SDMT "might" be available for FP+ by then. You can't even book it yet, so it's a moot point really. If it was already available, that would be a different issue entirely.
