Fastpass+ option at Be Our Guest

I'm leaving for Disney today for vacation and received an email from Disney with an offer to test the use of Fastpass+ for a lunch at BOG!

The email says "As part of this test you have the ability to select an arrival window and pre-order meals for your entire party before arriving at Be Our Guest Restaurant." I went to the link given and I was given the option for lunch at BOG any day during my trip with 2 options. 1) Fastpass+ straight to table and 2) Fastpass+ just the wait line. Option 1 was preselected so I went with that.

I was then given the full menu of BOG and allowed to select our meals as you would in the restaraunt itself. After it was selected, I was given my arrival time for lunch and given the following instructions:

"Don’t forget to wear your MagicBands* when you arrive at Be Our Guest Restaurant during your arrival window, and please enter the Disney FastPass+entrance at the beginning of the bridge. You’ll be able to breeze by the line, confirm your order, pay for your lunch and head direct to your table while your food is prepared and delivered straight to you!"

I'm NOT a huge fan of the whole FP+ system but I'm gonna give this a try. I'll be honest, as much as I love that restaraunt, standing in the sun for 30+ minutes to wait isn't exactly fun.

I'll let you know how it goes. I'll be dining there Sunday.

We did this last Friday and enjoyed it. I'm glad we tried it but I probably wouldn't do it again if I did have to wait. I honestly felt a little bad as we crossed the bridge past all the poor people in line. They'd started lining up at 10am.

Have a great trip and by the way, I had the roast beef sandwich and it was delicious.

Have a great trip!

We did FP+ at BOG back in September. It was decent. Booking the fastpass is definitely the way to go. The line was over an hour long when we were there. I also recommendordering in advance. It makes it go so fast!

We did the Fast Pass for BOG in Oct and it was fantastic - I really wanted to eat there and knew my husband would not tolerate a long line just to eat. We didn't order in advance, but it still just maybe 10 minutes from check in until we were sitting out a table.

We did this as well in December, and had a great time. We had both lunch and dinner, and enjoyed both equally. Without the Fastpass we wouldn't have waited in line- the day we went, it was easily an hour wait.

BOG FP+ was available to me on MDE back in Sept/Oct and I tried on several occasions, but unfortunately, the system kept crapping out on me so I just gave up and made 3 ride selections on all of my MK days instead.

I think there was still an issue last week as I was at the check in when someone was having what sounded like the same problem you were having. I hope you were able to eat there, if not maybe on your next trip. :)

We were also asked several times before checking in if we had actually gone through the prompts given by the email. I assume they had people showing up who had received the email and just thought they needed to come to the restaurant.

Well my fiancé and my trip is off to a rough start. 4 hour delay in Chicago and we're finally in the air but that's a day gone from our trip :/.

We love eating there! Such a great restaraunt. I'm glad to know that those that have used it found it as useful and time saving as it sounds. We used the FP+ on our last trip for the attractions and it wasn't our cup of tea. This seems like it'd be my best use of the system to be honest!

We used the FP+ to go for lunch in December, and it worked great! There's no way we would have stood in line with our 2 year old to eat there, so we're really happy we got the chance to eat there and experience it. The roast beef baguette was delicious :)
Enjoy!

We did this in December and loved BOG lunch! I was wondering if they are still offering the FP for lunch. Does everyone with magic bands get the option to schedule a FP? Just wondering for our trip in October.
