Pick the Signature

Well, that just looks DIVINE!!! I haven't made a final decision on resort yet, but Boardwalk is definitely in the mix of top contenders.
It is absolutely "lick your plate clean" divine! I've only actually stayed at BW once but we find an excuse to get over there just about every trip. And my sister is getting married there in April, yay!

I've never had a signature meal....so I can't really weigh in. But I know I want to try Le Cellier. I know a lot of people are not crazy about it but I just have to try it for myself.

We loved Le Cellier when we used to dine there atr least once a trip. The past few trips, we haven't been though. Not because we don't like it anymore, but because we've been trying other places. I hope it hasnt gone downhill since our last time! I know it has a bad word of mouth from some people but hey, to each his own!

We need time for things to happen.
I can only speak for where I've dined and I've had two of my top 10-15 meals ever at:

Yachtsman's and Cali Grill....hmmmmm....delicious...ahhhh

Thanks for not only making me hungry, but for also making me hate whatever I'm going to have to settle on this afternoon to satiate said hunger.

Magic Kingdom- for your kid free trip try to do V&A. Haven't been in ten years, but it was awesome (although a very long meal). We just booked it for out next trip. I agree about California Grill. We went in October and my husbands entree was pretty disappointing. The waitress even took it off our menu without us asking.

EPCOT- Yachtsman was very good the one time we at there, We also enjoy Le Cellier. We love the cheese soup.

Jiko- We always enjoy this place. Great food and atmosphere.

Hollywood Brown Derby- we like to eat lunch here. Especially when the F&W festival or such has food offerings. We have a Cobb Salad at lunch and start eating and drinking in EPCOT early evening.

We may just go up to Cali Grill for some drinks and appetizers at the bar if the timing works out. I want to see the refurb, but I don't know if I want to devote a whole meal due to our previous issues.

Very good suggestion for HBD- didn't even think about heading over there for a light lunch before hitting F&W.

We've only been to Le Cellier once, but it was before the signature shift. I think some of it is personal preferences and some is consistency. When we went, it was good but not great. Still, that was our take on it and I really think with any of these restaurants...it's best to try it yourself. Of course, with signature prices- I understand being reluctant if reviews are mixed.

Thanks for not only making me hungry, but for also making me hate whatever I'm going to have to settle on this afternoon to satiate said hunger.

If it makes you feel any better, my lunch is steel cut oats with flaxseed and a cup of light almond milk. Filling, but definitely not exciting.

Yachtman's Steakhouse is a great choice. We loved it in March when we went and we book for our vacation this December. I would also recommend California Grill at the Contemporary Resort. They just finished renovating not too long ago. Hollywood Brown Derby @ DHS is an excellent choice for lunch or dinner. I have also heard Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge is great too.

I'll agree it comes down to maximum menu desirability. We loved Cali and Yachtman's. However, Cali moreso for view than just for food (big Wishes fans here). We hope to do V&A during a future kid-free trip. Otherwise zurg and shookie have a pretty good list of suggestions.

Haha.. Sorry - non of the words in that sentence sound like food.

If you can swing V&A, do it. It's a whole other level. :)

This. If you can swing the extra cash, do it, especially since you won't have the kiddo's with you. Cali Grill et al aren't bad, but V&A just blows them all away.

Epcot Area - most of the Swolphin are good choices, just pick your preferred food style.

Wild Card - Jiko and one of the GF/Contemporary choices you passed when you bok V&A.. I'd stay away from any in park "signatures". Food & experience are ok, but its like comparing TGI Fridays to McDonalds and declaring TGI Friday's a signature restaurant when a 5 minute drive away is The French Laundry.

I'm looking to do 2-4 signatures for our next trip (assuming it doesn't fall through), which will hopefully be a kid free belated anniversary celebration trip. I truly doubt we'd be doing DDP, so there are no limits on where or what aside from personal preferences. I want one Epcot area, one MK area, and the wild cards would depend on time and budget. This is what I've narrowed it down to for one reason or another (I'll spare you the novel ;))...

In the Epcot area, we're looking at Yachstman, Flying Fish, and Bluezoo
In MK area, we're considering Cali Grill, Citrico's, and V&A
And for the wild card, any of the above options + Jiko and Fulton's

I know something like V&A seems like the no brainer for the MK area, and I do really want to try that, but it also has its pros and cons. Maybe you guys could help me narrow it down :)
We loved Yachtsman's! Definately a restaurant on our rotation for future trips!
We also love Fulton's ... even for steak! My son had the filet mignon w/fries of all things LOL and said it was fabulous!

My absolutely three favorite restaurants on property are Flying Fish, Jiko and California Grill! I love them all so much because they all have great atmosphere, service and food!

I love the Sushi and Filet at Cali Grill
I love the Mussels and the NY Strip at Flying Fish
I love the Wild Boar and the Filet with Mac and Cheese at Jiko :)
