Color me curious. When were characters introduced into this attraction? Permanent?

I have zero knowledge. Fishing for info. Apparently yesterday was the 10th anniversary of something but I can't even figure out what that anniversary is signifying.

Okay, Why is everyone in that picture not noticing a 5ft tall duck sitting in the greenhouses staring at Lemons?

Here's what I found this out about the picture in Disney's media site..

Sour Power — Disney’s lovable “sourpuss” — Donald Duck — poses with largest sour fruit grown at The Land pavilion at Epcot, the “Nine Pound Lemon.” With their descriptive name, the fruits from these trees weigh approximately nine pounds and preserve all of the taste of the smaller variety. Guests to The Land see the giant citrus on the “Living with the Land” boat ride through the experimental greenhouses housed inside the pavilion. Epcot is one of four theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

It doesn't mention about some 10th anniversary of anything and LWTL reopened in 2005 so it can't be that..

Epcot theme park lol
It actually drives me nuts when it is written Epcot. This is how it is written everywhere these days (I guess since 1995). I still always write EPCOT. The name stands for something. Experimental Prototype City of Tomorrow (EPCOT) So it really is E.P.C.O.T. Taking away the capitals just makes it a word... a word that has no meaning to anyone besides those who are Disney World fans. It makes no sence and does not symbolize what that park is (or was suppose to be, given it's current state) by writing Epcot.

This rant is not directed at anyone here, as this is the way it is currently written. Today was just the day I chose to rant on one of my biggest Disney Park pet-peeves.

Carry on all.

But wasn't the name officially changed by Disney to Epcot long ago? Disney is great from rebranding with minor name changes or big name changes. The Poly's name will revert back to its original.

Big Changes have happened with official name changes to AoA, DTD so many times, Dixie Landings to Port Orleans Riverside.

So if anything be peeved at Disney for changing the name?

The DW and I have taken the Greenhouse tour in the land and found it very fun and informative. We seen these lemons and when I gotten to touch one was amazed how big and heavy it was. The Greenhouse tour I highly reccomend to do if you never have done it. There are a lot of fun things to do and see in the green house. We asked a ton of questions and our guide was really enthusiastic and shown us every thing and allowed us to feed the fish, set some insects loose, showed us the sensative plant and let us harvest a tomato or two off the vine. This was one of my favorite thing that I ever done in the land pavillion.

Added some clarification in red

That's a bit strange....
Kraft was the Sponsor from 1982 to 1993
Nestle Was the Sponsor from 1993 to 2007
and Chiquita Brands Sponsor from 2011 to Present

Where are they getting 10 years??

Sad but true! Get the idea the CM at Disney Corporate Alliance in charge of communications knows nothing about Disney let alone the history of Epcot. But does that surprise me?

This is the same company who put the wrong birth date for Walt Disney on Twitter. Something like LWtL is small potatoes....

I think it's cute! I wouldn't want cartoons on screens. I wouldn't want a ton of characters, but that would be kind of cute.

Since I like it, I doubt it will last. :)

Amusing little place they have there.

'I have a photo of Donald and Lemons in Living with the Land.' 'gee, what should I write as a caption, nobody will notice if it is fiction.'

Giggle.
