The new URL modification/referencer SUCKS

I hate the new link rewriting that is happening so all URLs go through viglink

It makes it impossible to just copy a link without dealing with all the crap URL encoding and referrer stuff. Given that so many of the links are just internal disney fan stuff... I have no idea how these links represent monetary value through viglink - but it sucks for users.

Please consider removing it

It isn't new, we have been using it for the last 4 years. Have you got an example of a post where you are having problems?

I can't say I've ever remember seeing all the extra when copyinng links from the site before.. but now when I do, I get the full referal through viglink stuff

Chrome.. right click on link and copy link address. When I do that, I get this for the link

Links from the forum pages themselves are clean.. but any link in the body of a post will be rewritten

The source link is clean.. so I assume it's some js thing

Interesting. It seems to be specific to Chrome. That does not happen in Safari or Firefox.

An alternative in Chrome is to right click and select COPY instead of COPY LINK ADDRESS.
