Cinnamon Rolls

This is probably a repeat, but I just want to verify that there are no cinnamon rolls at the main street bakery and if the one's at Gaston's Tavern are the same as the original at the Bakery? We are going in a couple of weeks and wanted to see if anyone has recently eaten any.

THEY ARE NOT THE SAME AT GASTON'S BY A LONG SHOT!!! The only thing they resemble is the size! Lol. They were dry, stale, cold, not the same icing like the MSB, etc. They use some type of maple glaze not the yummy warm gooey white icing that was use at the bakery. Bakery's were always piping hot also and Gaston's are not served warm much less hot. Others in here have said the same thing that have had the original from the old bakery. Sad Sad replacement!! :banghead::arghh::cry::bawling::oops:

Thanks for the reply sxeensweet. I was afraid that was the case. The first day at DW we always go to the Magic Kingdom and my wife's favorite first thing to do was get a cinnamon roll at the Main Street Bakery. It is sad that is gone now.

YW and Sorry i had to give you the bad news. :( Yes it was a tradition for me and DH too every trip! We would even get some to take home and enjoy the next morning at home. That and many other specialty items that MSB had are gone and replaced with mediocre Starbucks pastries we can frankly get at home. I won't get on that subject again though!! Lol. Maybe still try one at Gaston's and judge for yourself as I do not want to tell you to not try it. We will be back in Dec again and will be missing our old fave and missing the "bakery" in general. Hope besides this you and your wife have a wonderful trip!! :)

Thank you. We normally take our two granddaughters every two years or so, but they are now juniors in high school, so we will wait till they graduate till we take them next time. We had some time left on our annual passes from last year so we decided to go by ourselves in September, never been in Sept before. One of our other favorites , Jungle Cruise , will be closed for refurb while we are there also, but we always have a great time at DW, just to be there. We also get to use magic bands for the first time and the first time I have reserved fast passes from my pc at home. A long way since our first trips.

Yes just being in DW is always a wonderful time!! You will like Sept. The crowds are low, lines are shorter, fall decorations are up, not a whole lot of rain, etc. Also Food and Wine starts at the end of the month but I do not know when you will be there if your dates coincide with it. :)
