Food and Wine with dining plan

Hi,

We are going to be at WDW in early October. We have never been to the food and Wine festival, looking forward to it but have a few questions.

1. Can we use dining plan snack credits for items at the food booths?

2. I had read in the past that it was possible to turn quick service meals into snack credits. Is this still an option and if so how do you go about doing it?

We really enjoyed using our snack credits at the F&W kiosks last year.

I've heard people speak anecdotally (rather, I've "read them discuss online") about "converting" counter service credits to snacks (3 snacks for a CS credit) at the resort eateries, but not in the parks. Perhaps it all depends on the particular CM you encounter.

You used to be able to trade one QS for 3 SC to but they recently (2013) changed the rules.

We use our snack credits for the many offerings at the different kiosks every year (sans the alcoholic beverages) I have never heard of changing quick service meals (but never felt the need to) What we have always done in the past, was save up our snack credits, and on our last day of vacation, did our TS for breakfast, used a QS in Epcot for lunch and then snacked around the world for dinner.
