Disney Animation App

I don't know if any of you downloaded it but my god is this app amazing, for a history nut and an animation buff like myself I was beyond impressed with the app. It is a little pricey coming in at about 13 dollars but I would say that for the price the amount of content you get is more than worth it, seriously this thing is detailed as heck. Overall a really nice and welcoming surprise and hopefully they will do one devoted to the theme parks and their respective history and if they give it the same level of interactivity as this app I would be beyond thrilled.

$13?! I thought it would be your average free museum app. Is there anything on it, apart from information, that makes it worth the purchase?

Well there is a ton of content and the way its organized is very very nice, you get clips from each film, break downs an extensive look into the company's history in animation. Also you get a few little things like an animating type interface where you get to control venollope's movements frame by frame and animate it. Another one is controlling maximus and his various facial expressions. Most of them are cool but for me the real bulk of it is the way the info is presented and how well organized and detailed every single thing is. Its like buying a hardcover book showcasing all the great things about Disney animation except when you look at an articale the picture's can come to life for snippets/interviews. It really is an experience I'm not one to purchase apps at all but I decided to purchase this one\ after testing it on my friends, it really is worth the value. They have a lot of rough animation and concept art and other cool various things that I have never seen before but one of my favorite features is the ability to blend final animation with the rough animation and go frame by frame on the ipad.

I might have to check it out on the iPad. Thanks for that, I appreciate it.

No problem if you get it tell me how it goes! I really do hope they make a park app in this level of detail.
I got it earlier today and I can easily say it's well worth the purchase. The amount of content is amazing! Really makes you appreciate traditional 2D animation. Thanks for convincing me.

Disneyland Explorer is a similar park app but has no where near this much detail or content. It would be great to see an Imagineering app with a similar structure.

Yeah I completely agree I would love to see an imagineering app. Also my favorite feature from the app has to be the timeline of the animated films.

I saw this a few days ago, but noticed that it's missing one huge feature: being on the world's most popular mobile OS.

I'd buy it if it were on Android...

I agree that Disney should make it for android. But the app is still amazing.
