Why Doesn't Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin Have Fog In The Escape Hatch Anymore?

That was probably the coolest effect on the ride. The past few times I've been, it wasn't working. Anyone know why?

Been going on it for years and I don't remember that. The light seems to create a fog effect. Kinda.

I heard they are going to take away the spin effect...that way they can cut maintenance costs on half of the ride.
Ugh. Taking away the one good thing about the whole attraction. There's no way that it could cost that much to have an effect like that running. TWDC is one of the wealthiest companies on the planet, and don't want to spend money on effects that county fairs could easily operate? Give me a break!

It originally simulated a spinning turbine on an airplane when it was Dreamflight and Take Flight. I agree it was pretty cool. But to answer your question, Sequester.

I always hated that spinning thing. I'd rather keep shooting with additional targets. Also, that lighting causes migraines for some people; not exactly what you want to deal with on vacation. I myself have to look away to avoid getting a headache.

There are two targets in that room you can shoot at constantly........

For the record...because I don't want to start a huge rumor...they're not getting rid of the spinning part of the Space Ranger Spin...(as far as I know lol, since I'm not even close to an "insider"...if they DO ever get rid of it...I want credit for predicting the story!)

That swirling vortex effect was also used in Delta Dreamflight, it's one piece of that ride that never left, it was also my favorite part and one of the things I loved as a kid. The sound effects were also featured in both rides.

I know what it is in DL, but what would they call it here? "Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Shoot on one angle'?

on a side note...the list of broken things...is just..i mean its huge....its massive....it should (the list of broken things) join the adult film industry because it keeps growing...i mean everything that breaks remains such forever...than they remove other things to take your mind off of the original thing broken/missing and for some reason the WDC has begun to employ dark..empty spaces in place of effects and or show pieces...

"so this effect is broken"
"just turn the ligths off"
great idea want a coffee"
