Just noticed Disney security guards stationed in different areas of MK and AK (Storybook Circus and Dinoland). Is this something new? Only ever seen them at entry.

Interesting. I know "undercover" security is always around but I don't think I've seen security stationed throughout the parks before. Maybe there is a government official in the parks or a diplomat? Only sort of joking.

Might be a VIP in the park.
Last time I was at the Magic Kingdom Joe Biden's family was visiting the park the same day and there were a number of visible, uniformed security personnel about.

Thus is how much I pay attention I never see security
That's right... honest people like you & me who go to have a good time, would never steal a penny, arent on the lookout for them. We just go on our merry way knowing we arent going to make trouble for anyone. :) But it's good to know they are around.

Maybe, but there are always uniformed security throughout the parks. Sometimes they are quite prominent sometimes less so, but they are always there somewhere.

Everything?
Now that I think about it , that is funny. I meant they were walking up and down the line of people waiting to get to the security tables letting the dogs sniff the backpacks. I'd only ever seen them after you got through the checkpoint. They kept running the dogs past the garbage cans too. I just chalked it up to maybe some new canine training to introduce the dogs to those areas.
