Any News On Cali Grille?

Still nothing available on the website for December 11-16.... However, the notice of refurbishment isn't on the restaurant page anymore.

Anyone hear of anything?

I just check, and when I tried to make reservations for December 9th the "notice of refurbishment" showed up. So their still not taking reservations for this time.

I spoke to Disney Dining yesterday and they said it was still not in their system and there was no ETA when it would be. Just keep trying the website on a daily basis. When reservations do open up, they're gonna go fast!

I'm considering changing our ADR from flying fish to Cali grill in September ( pending opening). Such a tough decision!

I have ADR for Narcoosee's for the engagement celebration dinner, but once Cali opens up I hope I can snag that instead. Although some of you have told me to stick to Narcoosee's as it'd be more romantic?

Cali I am sure will be wonderful too yet the concept drawings have the remodel being brighter and lighter.

That long row of table for two's doesn't scream romance to me anyhow. Though I am looking forward to eating there. The larger tables by the windows seem to be a bit more romantic but they will likely be filled with families/children.

Just let them know that you are celebrating your engagement and I'm sure that they will go all out to make it perfect for you.

Should I call them a couple weeks before? Or tell them when we arrive?

Call into Disney Dining and speak to them. They can add that information to your reservation. That way the restaurant will know about it even before you arrive.

One of the big reasons we are not stressing over getting ADR's for Sept...we ate there last year and loved it but not so thrilled about the wall of seats that looks like a glorified Denny's....sorry, but for a romantic dinner I want a little more than a butt-scoot between us and the other guests.

So far? No reservations are being accepted online, THRU the entire 2013 XMAS season. One must simply assume that WDW does not want your business this year at the Grill.

Whenever it does finally open up, it's gonna be total chaos!

Narcoosee's is a wonderful choice but keep in mind, so is Citricos and if budget allows, nothing could beat Victoria & Alberts.

I personally prefer Narcoossee's to Citricos because of location. What a pretty view and just a quick, relaxing boat ride from the MK.
