Having not been to IoA and only having been to Uni once since it opened, (way back in 1992), I made sure to check it out last time in O town in January. Wow, was I impressed not only with the HP area, but everything. I am now planning on taking a couple days from my WDW vacation in November to bring the rest of the family over to Universal so they can experience it themselves. I'm sure that is what most new visitors are doing with the expansion of the the parks and this will be driving the attendance growth for them and sucking Disney visitors from parks like DHS and AK. Once there is a big enough shift, then they will likely react.

No way! I have pals who have said how amazing the place was who can't stand/ or never seen the movie.

If Harry Potter (as it is in Universal) was built on WDW property and then expanded shortly thereafter the anti-Universal crowd would likely be wetting themselves with praise of Disney. That demographic will never open their hearts to Universal or Harry Potter.
