Modify a Dining Reservation?

Hi! I made an online reservation for dinner at Chefs de France next week and wanted to add somewhere that it's for my mom's birthday, as I heard some restaurants will decorate your table etc. before you're seated if they know that you're celebrating, but I didn't see anything when I made the reservation and was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to call and have a CM add a note to the reservation so they know? Or would it be better to just tell them when we get to the restaurant? I'm not staying on Disney property, so I can't ask for help with this at my resort or anything. Thanks so much! :)

I would call 407 WDW-DINE give them your confirmation # and ask. I just did that for our upcoming trip, added that it was our anniversary (well, a month away but that's OK) They told me, no problem

I absolutely despise that the new system won't allow you to add celebrations to meals. I've been booking dining via the British site since the changeover...which is operated on the same platform as the old system...but it won't retrieve reservations (figures)...so sadly, I can't use that as a workaround here.

Just be prepared for it to take a while when you call (a reason why I hate calling)...I added celebrations to 3 meals the other day and it took just over 15 min. Something I used to be able to do online in under a minute now takes a quarter of an hr. :mad:

Oh, you might also want to remind them when you check in. Can't hurt :)
