So I know WDW already has two water parks and probably has no intentions to build a third any time soon, but if you had to come up with an idea for a third Disney water park, what would it be?
I’m very very late to this but I think something western themed or maybe even like a waterpark built around a crashed ufo or something, a sci fi waterpark would be unique, though maybe too similar to typhoon lagoon. It would be situated on an island with a ufo crash landed in the center. There would be a lot of high tech equipment in there and it was converted into a slide complex atop a extraterrestrial looking rock spire, there would also be entertainment and such.So I know WDW already has two water parks and probably has no intentions to build a third any time soon, but if you had to come up with an idea for a third Disney water park, what would it be?
Well if you think about it it would be their 7th park counting the waterparks. You could mayeb call it Disney fantasy springs, maybe it could be half water park half marine life theme park, a competitor to seaworld, maybe with a larger aquarium or it’s mainly animatronics and live performer shows and less animals to be more environmentally friendly but if animals have a big habitat for them however I think a third waterpark is more likely than a 5th gateLOL, you went way, waaaaay back for this one. You could have just made a new one buddy, but I'll play along.
I love your ideas for a water park. But I think that a 3rd water park could also be a clever way to do 5th park as well. A nice "Touché" response and a middle finger to Universal. All Disney would have to do is make it a water park and sea life park.
Then theme it to their water related films.
Little Mermaid
Finding Nemo
Pinocchio
Peter Pan
Princess and the Frog
Moana
If universal can claim their waterpark as a third gate, so can Disney!LOL, you went way, waaaaay back for this one. You could have just made a new one buddy, but I'll play along.

It’s also about time Disney makes themed slides. It’s strange the only real park that did this is waterworld in Colorado. Plus they may need to retheme things in Epcot and magic kingdom so maybe it could be a Jules verne inspired waterpark. Discovery bayBrilliant, it could be the first water park to add screens and IP theming throughout.

And Luca! Don’t forget lava, 20,000 leagues, lilo and stitch, Atlantis, etcLOL, you went way, waaaaay back for this one. You could have just made a new one buddy, but I'll play along.

Yep, most of those sound great.
Disney may want to stay away from Atlantis though. It really tanked at the box office and prevented them from retheming "20,000 leagues" or doing "Fire Mountain".
How about a Monstro water slide? It was supposed to be a regular park ride, but it could easily be changed.

Maybe called it Disney's Splash Kingdom as a water park version of the Magic Kingdom/DisneySEA also feature Pirates of the CaribbeanLOL, you went way, waaaaay back for this one. You could have just made a new one buddy, but I'll play along.

no i alrighty type my thing first before you posting your, just sayingYou're reading my mind. The 20,000 leagues octopus idea made me think of Pirates as well.
Or it could be a boat ride on a giant ferry or somethingYeah, I'd love to see what they could do with themed lands.
The lazy river could have animatronics along the sides (like Disneyland Railroad). It would probably have to be behind glass though. Because some idiots would probably splash water at them.
It could showcase and preview each of the themed lands. And say things like "The next stop is Moana Land, if leaving please leave your tube for other Fantasy Springs visitors."
Great idea!! Splash kingdom could also be to show how this is more of a proper Disney park as opposed to other Disney waterparks, cause I haven’t been to typhoon lagoon and it looks a lot nicer than blizzard beach but the waterparks so far don’t feel like Disney, maybe cause they’re lacking that Disney magic and ipMaybe called it Disney's Splash Kingdom as a water park version of the Magic Kingdom/DisneySEA also feature Pirates of the Caribbean
I feel like a lazy river would be much less grand or maybe no railroad idk I could imagine something called “dark slides” which are themed rides with immersive theming and animatronics though maybe with a protective thing to keep them away from the water. Think indoor slides enclosed in a show building, like space mountain or maybe even a emperors new groove trap door slide themed to the wrong lever thing and you ride a slide down the labOh, I just meant it entered my big brain also.![]()
Please don’t add any unnecessary gory details like that, it made me extremely uncomfortable. Also, I meant something like the Tom Sawyer riverboatThere would be a lawsuit if Grandma slipped and hit her head. Plus all of the cleanup of her blood and possible brain matter.
As for the size of the park, how many acres? Obviously not as big as the main parks but I think slightly larger than the other waterparks. I’m thinking about 25-30 acres not counting backstage areas. And with backstage about 35-40Here are the lands & names i can think about for this Disney's Splash Kingdom water park that could works if u like it. & also the land that could be similar from the dry disney parks.
This park could be their version of Universal's Volcano Bay, Typhoon Lagoon & DisneySea truly but 100% based to Disneyland/Magic Kingdom themed for the water park from their attractions, theming & storytelling.
- Toon Beach - MAIN STREET USA/MICKEY AVENUE
- Fantasy Springs (The Little Mermaid, Fantasia, etc) - FANTASYLAND
- Buccaneer Cove or Bay/Tortuga Cove or Bay/ or just Pirate Island (Pirates of the Caribbean) - TREASURE COVE
- Geyser Gulch - FRONTIER/WESTERNLAND/GRIZZLY GULCH
- Pacific Islands (Lilo & Stitch & Moana) - ADVENTURELAND
- Discovery Lagoon (20,000 Leagues, Journey, Atlantis, etc) - DISCOVERYLAND/TOMORROWLAND/MYSTERIOUS ISLAND
That's a very good question there, Maybe almost like 70 or 80 acres way bigger than Disney's Typhoon Lagoon for 56 acres & this water park its almost huge as The Magic Kingdom for almost 110 acres. While expansion areas for this water park could be idk almost 90 acres, just thinking. As for the size of the park, how many acres? I think 40 acres initially with 10 acres of backstage space would be good for initial land, with about 20 acres of expansion total, waterparks don’t need much spaceThat's a very good question there, Maybe almost like 70 or 80 acres way bigger than Disney's Typhoon Lagoon for 56 acres & this water park its almost huge as The Magic Kingdom for almost 110 acres.
