i personally love the idea, and would even go as far as saying that Pixar has done its fair share to earn its own gate. I know a 5th park is almost out of the question at this point, but a park within a park has its merit. one can certainly imagine an attraction for every pixar movie... maybe a skyride in your very own "up" house, a monsters inc door coaster, carsland, the incredibles island dark ride(spiderman style)....the possibilities are endless

i drew this for another thread a few months back....this of course includes the addition of an identical carsland from DL, minus luigis ride. i added the paradise falls sky ride and monsters inc door coaster. Also, a reimaging of honey i shrunk the kids with the bugs life play place.

Monstropolous is the only thing Disney can build that would rival Cars land. Hollywood Studios needs something! People have complained, that HS doesn't have enough sit down options, rides for smaller children, and rides in general. Monstropolous could offer that. If anything. Disney would be waiting to see people's reactions to Monster's University before finalizing anything.

I agree. Disney will probably wait until MU has been released to see how it is received. Then if they like the reception, it's possible they might release some information. After all these years since MI, they have to have a plan backed up. We have seen leaked stuff from it over the years, and I have high hopes that something might happen to where MU will be a bigger success than anticipated, reassuring TDO to make a move!

I'm not so sure about a "Monster's Inc. Land". Aside from the buzz about the new movie sparking interest again, I haven't seen the movie as most popular. A great movie, but not fan favorite. The Laugh Floor is rarely a long wait time. I'd just be worried that, like Avatarland, would be a quick cash in that no one really cares about in a few years. That's how I see it, I could be wrong.

That's a valid conclusion. We can hope for better... Who knows? Only Disney does...

sorry I completely disagree with this statement. Cars was middle of the road in popularity in comparison to other pixar movies when that came out. Disney still took this wonderfully detailed make believe world and turned into an amazing theme park world, that was able to bring in non cars fans to enjoy. I might be biased because of my love for Monsters Inc, however almost everyone I talk to agrees that monsters inc was a much better done movie and has much stronger following then cars did. Monstropolis if you look at it is just as wonderful of a make believe world as radiator springs is, they would have endless possibilites in creating a unique world in hollywood studios. The laugh floor does not work where it is at currently because it makes no sense being in tomorrowland and the magic kingdom has tons of rides and attractions that crowds can flock to, however if the laugh floor was revamped and moved to this location then I could see it being very popular in a land themed to it and a park that does not have the types of attractions that MK has. If they fixed it up some then yes I could see this on the same level as turtle talk

Just from what I've seen, I don't ever remember Monsters having the merchandising and "following" like Cars did. I understand most people don't put Cars at the top of their lists, but it's a bigger seller and brings in crowds more than I think Monster would

Love this! I do have to agree with you. There are so many possibilities just with MI, and now with MU being released, a ton more possibilities are being brought to light.

I agree that it did bring in tons of merchandise power, but i feel much of that was after cars land debut and not before cars land. I personally liked cars. I feel that they could do exactly what they did with cars though with monsters inc and turn it into a equal sensation with non monster lovers as they did with non cars lovers and then on top of that I feel monsters has a bigger following to begin with. I have no problem with them opting for a clone of cars land if thats the choice, I think both will have a much bigger impact then avatarland because honestly both have connections to characters that avatar does not and in turn is the reason why I feel avatar will not have a lasting impact on our pop culture because in 20 years there will be no attachment to the avatar characters, where I could see either one of these movies still being showed to kids just because they are disney brands

Bottom line...Pixar Place in DHS needs to be more than Toy Story Midway Mania! I'd love to see Monster's Inc. & The Incredibles in there.

That would be nice. The Incredibles is a film that Disney never did much with. I don't know why, since it seems to have a loyal following. They might be waiting for the Universal Marvel contract to run its course and include The Incredibles in a superhero area? In any case, DHS is the only park that you really can't spend a whole day in, and stay entirely busy. It needs something, whether monsters inc or something else!

Monsters inc. indoor coaster was supposed to be going next to Toy Story Midway Mania however that has apparently been being planned for 6-7 months but there has been some activity going on recently in that building so it could be still in the works.

Disneyland is getting it instead, because TDO passed up on it, as usual. Unless something has changed, there seems to be different plans for that location now.
