I just got first official pin like notification from WDW today w/ a 3 digit code. Good for trips between 8/4 to 8/29. Moderate rooms are $175/night for standard room, no park admission or dining mentioned.

$175/night*6 night = $1050 room only
6 day MYW tickets = $300pp x2 = $600
Total = $1650

WDW website quote = $1977

15% discount from a pin??

Have I found my first elusive pin offer or is this just a typical promotional thing?

Will this first taste improve over time like wine or scotch? or will this be the same vanilla offering of the future?

Seriously, this is only about a $24/day discount.

I've been getting PINs for a while, and I just got a 15 digit pin with this deal:

To the OP, this is just a promo code, typically something available to the general public though it might be a targeted discount. Those have a three-digit alpha-numeric code.

The elusive PIN-code offers are 15-digit numerical codes and are specific to the individual receiving it.

I think Disney makes a lot of money on free dining, but is slowly moving toward calling them all "dining plans" instead of "free dining". The price won't really change, just the name. But I'd bet they'd do one more "free dining" this year.

Got all excited over (what I thought could be) my first pin code. Looking back this offer seems to be derived from travel patterns as we usually go in August. But looking closer at the offer, if I was already booked at rack rate, this offer would be a nice "mint on the pillow" gift but hardly anything that would change my decision from a go/no go position.
