The Incredible Edible Egg

As I sit here eating some egg salad...I'm reminded of just how much I love eggs. It also crossed my mind that some of my favorite things I've eaten at WDW involved eggs. From eggs with chorizo at Cape May breakfast and the lobster and crab crepes at CRT with the poached egg on top...eggs make for some pretty fine dishes at WDW. My fave is below...

It's a salmon & caviar flatbread from California Grill - the poached egg on top added this wonderful and unexpected blending of flavors.

So, what are your fave and/or unexpected egg dishes from WDW?

Kouzzina used to have this flatbread that had wilted spinach and eggs scrambled with feta and roasted red peppers on it. Of course, they removed it from the menu. I also like the Stacked Breakfast from there, it's very good, but not as good as the aforementioned flatbread. :(

I loved the lobster eggs benedict at 1900 Park Fare! (didn't know they were on the GFC menu too. Same thing?)
Im not sure (I would assume so??) I have never eaten at 1900 Park Fare

Now I'm curious...I've never eaten at GFC, but I know I've had it at 1900PF. I think (think)...the item in the upper right corner of this plate is the 1900PF version. This was from 2010, but my pic description said Lobster Benedict, and I know the yummy sticky pecan roll and the hash browns are not Lobster Eggs Benedict...so this has to be it...I hope.

And that was one of DH's (and mine) complaints with the 1900PF one...next to no lobster. It was still tasty, but I was guessing the GFC option would not have that issue as non-buffet meals tend to skimp less.

We also noticed last trip that they've improved the hollandaise, so probably something we'd like.
It was good, I have to admit. But I definately think you would enjoy it, I was impressed, and being a private caterer, that says alot to me. I always nit pick dishes, but this, was outstanding. The first dish I had that I gave glowing reviews to. The other, was the lobster mac and cheese at Le Cellier (mostly tail, very little claw)

Funny- I've always said I was going to try the lobster mac & cheese should we return to Le Cellier. I'm a huge mac & cheese fan, but I get nervous when I see lobster mac b/c so many places don't focus enough on a cheese blend that works with the lobster. i.e. competing flavors/unbalanced dish. The fig salad was another point of interest...and it involves an egg :) ...Fall Fig Salad - Duck Prosciutto, Blue Cheese, Fif-Almond Cake and Soft Boiled Egg

Dear Lord- now I'm hungry!

I honestly expected kraft macaroni and cheese with small pieces of lobster, in all honesty. Sandy, this blew me away. Definately wasnt what I expected. Heavy undertones of wine and gruyere cheese, not salty at all (which happens alot with a seafood mac and cheese) This was a pleasant surprise. You know me, I dont use 2 TS credits for any restaurant in Disney. I pay OOP and I could have easily made a meal out of the lobster mac and pretzel rolls. This alone, was worth the price of dinner. Wish you and I were at Disney the same time... LOL

That could be fun- and dangerous! Who knows- if I can convince DH to do F&W in 2014- we may just have coinciding trips! He's still on his WDW boredom kick :( but this could get him out of it.
