Tip when making ADRs via phone

On our 180-day mark, I attempted to use the website to make our ADRs. I was only able to make the ADRs on for the first day because the website does not allow the 180 + 10 for guest staying on property yet. The backup plan was to call to make ADRs (I was sure to be up so that I could do all this right when everything opened). The CM I spoke with was extremely helpful and booked all of our ADRs quite efficiently. Good news is that we were able to get all of our ADRs within 30 minutes of our goal times, although I had to switch two ADRs to get into BOG. However, we were able to get into BOG, so I'm not going to complain! :)

I learned something important last night when speaking with another CM. No matter what I tried, I could only get half of our ADRs to link to our resort reservation. Turns out that the ADR *must* have a phone number input when the ADR is made, or the online system cannot like it to the resort reservation. The 2 ADRs I made online show up, no problem, as do the first six ADRs that the CM made for us over the phone. The problem is the other ADRs that he did for us. Turns out that he did not put a phone number in the ADRs at all, so there's no way we can link them. The CM last night told us that she's unable to modify that portion of the ADR, so no way for us to link them to our resort reservation. She was nice enough to verify all of our ADRs, so I know they're in the system (she had to look them up by name and zip code since there was no phone number).

So when you make ADRs by phone, make sure the CM inputs the phone number into the ADR! :)

I forgot to add that making note of the ADR confirmation code is VERY important. That helped tremendously when we called to verify the ADRs that we could not link.

Yes it does. It has since beta testing. You must log in and have your reservation linked to your profile for it to work. Does the web site always work like it is supposed to? Not a chance, but you can do 180 +10 online.

I was logged in and my resort reservation has been linked to my profile as we made the resort reservation online using the same profile. Cleared cookies and browsing history with the same results.

I know it works. As a regular guest I have done it many times. As a TA I have done it dozens if not hundreds of times. No idea why it did not work on your end, but it most assuredly is possible.

Sorry to hear that you had the same trouble we had, but when I called back the CM I spoke to added the phone number and she got me to log on and check they were all there before she would finish the call. Both CM I dealt with were fantastic, I had 10 days with 2/3 ADRs per day, so it was not a surprise that a couple of times the phone number was missed or typed wrong! We in total we have (12 nights) for the time we wanted give or take 10 minutes including BOG. The only we need now is California Grill when they started taking ADRs after the refurb. I know a lot of people have had success going thru the UK site, but it didn't work for my DVC res and I am in the UK! TTFN

Not sure why either. Hopefully it works next time. Never had issues with the old website. :(
