I've eaten everywhere in WDW that I wanted to eat...except this place. I'm scared of it, lol. Pan-Asian food for someone who doesn't eat Japanese or Chinese food (and precious little Thai)...a bit scary.

But I'm thinking its time to give it a shot.

So, if you've gone, would you let me know how you liked it? Especially the not-so-adventurous in your party? :D

Thanks!

it was more like TGI Friday's kind of food, but more expensive. The restaurant itself is nice, but the food is just ok, nothing special. there was a picture on the wall of a sheep with a huge right at our table- my son was cracking up during the whole meal- that's pretty much all I remember about Yak and Yeti LOL!:D

Atmosphere is great IMHO. Food is decent, but not the best in Disney. For what it's worth the dessert was awesome. Can't remeber what I had though? Ha, but def. worth a try. There's not many options in AK.

We ate dinner there three or four years ago. I don't think we liked it all that much. We were on the Dining Plan, so we had to get the entree and dessert. I remember being frustrated with that because I think we wanted egg rolls and fried rice. We wanted to order like we were at P.F. Changs! :) Anyway, we went there for quick service in December, and it was yummy! Even my picky ten year old son loved the honey chicken. We will definitely eat there again for quick service!

We love Yak Yeti! They have a grilled skirt steak that is great, also they have these fried wontons with cream cheese and pineapple - my favorite~ Son loves their noodles, we have not had anything bad there. I tend to get the same thing, the skirt steak because it is so yummy and their shrimp was great also~

Favorite place to eat at Animal Kingdom...servers are VERY good...food is very good as long as you stick with standard wok dishes and NOT american dishes --- The Pot Stickers are decent and the lime teriyaki sauce excellent...the chicken dishes are MUCH better than the meat dishes, and filling. The atmosphere is very good. Considering this same company owns Rainforest Cafe and T-Rex, this is a far cry from those mall-quality restaurants. Yak & Yeti is a regular stop at AK. I recommend it to everyone. It is a bit overpriced for what you would get at your neighborhood asian fusian restaurant back home -- but everything I have had there has been good.

We absolutely love Yak & Yeti..the fried green beans are to die for. We always get the veg low mein and egg rolls. The fried rice is amazing. Everything I have eaten here has been delicious. A little tip..Y&Y is owned by landry's so you can purchase gift cards or earn free ones through quickrewards

Love the Y&Y! The two guys behind the bar know us now. :)

Had just about everything on the menu and no complaints. I went for the seafood curry dish this last time, and had them tell the chef to make it nice and spicy (which he did). The drinks were good too, though I went with the *large* beer (forgot the name). Ate at the bar both times.

Thumbs up. Great atmosphere and totally yummy food. Recommend the triple-sorbet dessert also.

Go for counter service yak n yeti! They have several popular dishes that are offered in the sit down restaurant! Egg rolls, honey chix, and lo mein are all very good! Very edible if you aren't a huge fan of Asian food...
OP said they they don't like Asian food. So that is why sit down would be the way to go here.

So I was reading your post then it took that turn unexpectedly! It truly made me laugh out loud! Sounds like something my son would have done when he was younger. Thanks for the laugh!

I found the pic- no pictures of the food (so I really was not impressed)
