This question just popped into my mind. Why is it when you get to DHS right when it opens and go straight for the Toy Story Mania Fast Passes, Disney always have CMs there to put the tickets through for you?

I just never noticed it at any other fast pass places. Of course I have a special gift to always get behind the Brazil Tour Guide that is putting 5 million tickets in at one time. I know it is a gift don't be jealous!

I would guess because it's the most popular ride to get fast passes for right away, meaning it is also the place most people will gum up the lines by havekng no clue how the machine works or by somehow breaking it, creating a chain of disaster that will get Andy's attention causing him to come back early and clean up his room and under his bed destroying toy story mania.

My guess is that they want to keep it moving quickly. People go too slowly. Some are unfamiliar, others are just slow-pokes.

And there isn't a ton of room over there for people to congregate in.

But I'm just guessing and have no real idea. I've never done the TSM Insanity Dash in the morning.

I see them watching over at Soarin at rope drop as well. Must be an attempt to be present as a way to oversee/keep the mass of guests orderly. My guess is that also with that many guests panicking to get their FP quickly through it would be wise to have CM's present in case the FP machines malfunctioned.

Yep. Those darn machines!
The funniest thing I watched when I was there early February was to see the FP machines go down one by one at Everest. The way people were reacting, you'd have thought a meteor was about to take out the castle...Apocalypse now! Sounds terrible but it was just amusing/amazing to see people get so upset. One dude just kept trying over and over and over even though people kept telling him it was broken.

In the time it took them to fix the machines, Id rode Everest three times via single rider, waiting approximately 5 minutes each time. It is totally beyond me why people absolutely need to sit next to each other unless you have really little kids, especially on the roller coasters where you arent paying attention to the person next to you anyways. 75 minute wait standard, 30 minute wait with FP, or 5 minutes via single rider... I know which one I'm choosing.

I think there's another active thread discussing BO that answers your question. you are playing a dangerous game of Russian roulette my friend. and on a roller coaster where people are trying to put their arms up, there's a few bullets in the chamber.....

I've watched CM's at TSMM handing out FP's instead of allowing guests to use their cards and the CM's just handed the guests whatever number of FP's they asked for without checking for ticket or KttW cards. One guy excitedly told his girlfriend/wife that he got 8 FP's for the two of them. ?!?!? Oh well, you can't fix stupid.

Haha. In my experience I guess I've been lucky. Really not had many people put their arms up next to me. But I can tolerate BO if it avoids me having to wait 75 minutes for a ride. Think it's absolutely crazy to wait more than 30, though most of the time I can get waiting for only 20. But I do understand your point. Some people seem to not realize deodorant exists. The worst ever was being stuck on a 9 hour plane ride behind two stinky French guys. (Sorry to any French people, not saying all French are stinky... But those two dudes definitely were.)
