Anyone just go with the flow...

Hi All! When "planning" your Disney trip, does anyone just go with the flow and let the trip take you where it feels like? Don't get me wrong, I have certain things I want to do when I'm on my Disney vacation but this trip we have coming up in April is pretty loosey-goosey; no ADR or anything like that planned.

I like to eat, so ADRs are a must, but beyond that I don't specifically "plan". If the mood strikes we'll sleep in, change parks or just skip a day.

Whit!!! After saving up for 2 years I take no chance.Plan plan,& plan again.Anyway,Thats one part of my pre Disney vacation I look forward too.

Yes! We only plan 2 ADRs for the week and just go with the flow.
We are "those people" that decide when we get up or get to the bus stop which park or DTD.
Sometimes how crowded the bus is seals the deal. Sometimes if the "loud family (we've all seen them)" gets on one bus we go the other way because we can .

Besides ADR's and using EMH as a general guideline, we pretty much hop with the flow. We like it that way, 'cause it's more enjoyable for us.

Plan! Plan! Plan! That's what makes these long winter days go by! We love TS restaurants and plan our dayaround them. We usually do about 75% of what we plan. Weather can be a factor!

I plan ADRs and what park to visit on what day. I also plan left and right side of the park days that being said the only day I plan everything out for is AK as we are going there for only 1 day this upcoming trip! I also plan which cs for each day as we want to try some new ones! I also plan out our SWW day! Gee I guess that makes me a super planner! I don't plan on exactly when I'n going to need my adult beverage to ward off the 3 males I travel with!

I've planned the ADR, what days we are going what parks since we are not doing the park hopper option this year and a BBB visit. Other then that I am good with whatever.

We always tend to plan dinner and parks according to the hours so we can get the most of our stay, however we always set 2-3 days aside for "free days" which we use to go visit areas or parks that strike our interest, or just relax and go with the flow.

I ALWAYS make ADR's and most of the time I do plan which day we're going to what park just because we usually go around Halloween or Christmas and I have to plan around the parties. Other than that though, it's go with the flow and whatever happens, happens and whatever doesn't, doesn't! My family and I have been so many times that we're just happy to be there and be away from our daily routine for awhile!

We don't(normally) do sit down meals, so the only plan is what park on what day based on the crowd calendars. If we do want to do a sit down meal, we'll plan that around the day we'll be in that park.( ex. wife wanted to do 50's prime time, so we planned that for the day we did DHS). Of course when it came time for our ressie, nobody was hungry, so we gave it up and came back later and was able to get seated rather quickly.

Aside from my wife being a "planner" in general - there is just no way I'm dropping that kind of change on a trip to WDW without getting the most I can out of it. We use touring plans and have every day planned out. With that said, now that we've been several times we don't feel quite so pressured to make sure we get everything done every trip. I don't think we could ever just wing WDW...

I certain things i plan ADR the biggest but I don't plan what rides at what time and stuff like that. I saw someone with a notebook this year and they looked stressed out from trying to do everything.

The only thing we plan is our ADRs after that we do what we want. We wake up and say today we feel like....its a great feeling to just be able to do that.

We've done it both ways...just depends on who is going and what we want to do...

To a certain degree yes... The only thing I really plan is what parks we will go to which days and if there is any certain place we want to eat, I will make an ADR for that. Other that that we do what we feel like during the days.

We plan our ts meals as we like to get our 1st choice of restaurants but that is all really, and we have some free days. We then see what the weather is like and how we feel, and take into consideration our meal location eg on the day we are have our evening meal at BOG we will go to a different Park during the day.

Same here. Except we get FPs for attractions with long wait times that we want to do later.
