Thanks...I want to scan an old photo from 1983 at DTD. It will be on my computer, not on a website. You must go to the chosen photo (I'm assuming that it's a photo on a website) and right click "copy image location". It must be the "copy image location" as opposed to just "copy image".
Next, go back to the thread post and click on the "insert/edit image" icon. It's the little green box with a tree as an image, located on the row that starts with B for bold. A window will appear titled "insert image". Right click where it says "enter image URL". Use the paste option, and then click the "insert" box.
The image will then appear on your post.
...you could not buy a cup of coffee. I did several searches and looked under the help section here before I posted my question. So I don't post photos, do not tweet, Facebook or any of that other stuff..I must be some kind of backwoods hick.If I had a nickel...

Oh, here is another problem...I am using an iPad. Have been for about a year. None of those format options are available on the iPad, just a blank box to type in. I went to the desktop, and they are all there including the insert image icon...none of which are on my iPad....suppose I should have tried it on the desktop before asking the silly question.
So here is another....what website to put the photo on?
Thank you...I will do it.I use Photobucket, but there are others. Set up an account (it's free), transfer your photos from your computer or iPad, and then follow the same procedure that I detailed in my earlier post. There is no difference in procedure when retrieving an image from a photo storage website.
The beauty of something such as Photobucket is that they allow you the capability to edit your photos with features such as sizing, shading, etc., at no cost to you.Thank you...I will do it.

I figured out what I was doing wrong. At the top of the page is a menu that has Home, Forum, Members and Help. I was clicking on help there, not in the forums. Yes, I guess I should have looked further, but could not find what I was looking for under the menu item Help. Wrong help. Sorry.you mean like, here? The first thread in the "Help" section?
