My boyfriend and I will be going over for a nice long weekend this Friday-Monday. The weather is saying 85 on Saturday, and we have a concert that evening at House of Blues, so we're thinking of making it a pool day and doing some resort hopping. I know the Yacht and Beach's Stormalong Bay have wristbands to get in, but other than that, are the other pools pretty much 'open?' We're staying at the Pop...

No. Other pools are not pretty much open. Only guests staying at the particular resort are allowed to use that resorts pools. I believe the only exception is some DVC resorts are open to DVC members staying at other DVC resorts. Short answer, pool hopping isn't allowed.

There are plenty of other things to do at each of the resorts without pool hopping. Besides the shops, restaurants, bars and just walking the grounds, its a great way to find your next favorite resort. Have a great vacation.

And besides at the end of the day they are all just holes in the ground filled with water.

Here is the issue. The resort pools are sized for the number of guests staying at that resort. If people show up at the resort pool who are not registered guests there it takes up pool space and diminishes the experience for the guests at that hotel. If you want a different pool experience try a watermark or stay at a different resort for part of your trip.
