The Devolution Of The Theme Park Slogan

"The Year Of A Million Dreams". Yeah, that one was catchy & fun.
"The Year Of More Magic." Seems kinda lazy, but not horrible.
Universal's "The Year To Be Here." Clever, yet a bit ironic considering three major additions were in the construction process, and a major ride (Jaws) closed permanently that year.
"The Year Of The Ear." Now they're getting desperate.

Yet Dollywood, the beautiful theme park in Pigeon Forge, TN has sunk annual park slogans to a new low with their 2013 motto:

That's right... "Make Time For Happy."
o_O o_O

I have a couple problems with this. First off, I am in no way a Grammar Nazi, nor am I anywhere near perfect when it comes to my grammatical skills. But (someone correct me if I'm wrong) isn't the word "Happy" an adjective? Something seems just off about the way that slogan is worded. Shouldn't it be: "Make Time For Happiness"? Or perhaps the marketing team at Dollywood is encouraging people to make time for this guy:

Regardless, it just sounds like fingernails on the chalkboard when reading that line (imo).

Second, "Make Time For Happy" just seems childish... way too childish. What's 2014's slogan gonna be? "Me Likey Fun Rides & Yay!"

Anyhow, just wanted to rant about that. Which Disney, Universal, or any theme park slogans have been your favorites/least favorites?

"Celebrate a Dream Come True" for some reason really grinds my gears. Yes Disney, I have always dreamt about overpaying for an increasingly lackluster experience that continues to cater to kiddies and wannabe princesses while forgetting about the reasons and principles that made the whole thing possible in the first place. Celebrate quick before they find a way to charge you for it.

Best - "The Happiest Place on Earth" and "The Vacation Kingdom of the World"

As for gramatical errors, Dollywood and its competitors are simply trying to attract the lucrative teenager/young adult crowd, who have the infinate capacity to blow their parent's money and speak very poorly when typing online. Don't be surprised to see next year's slogan read "Can Haz Rid Plz?", with a new cat character logo or some meme like "not sure if theme park, or amusement park", or "brace yourself, puke coming". ;)

I'm not sure if this qualifies as a slogan, but I always loved the question posed to various athletes after a notable victory:
"What are you going to do next?"
"I'm going to Disneyworld!"

It's not just theme parks, it's companies/products in general. Some of the slogans out there are just simply terrible.

But the theme park slogans/themes have gone down hill too. The "Year of a Million Dreams" was a great year. My favorite theme.

That's going to be Tom Brady's slogan this year. Unless he plays the Falcons, then it could possibly be Matt Ryan's.

I would prefer "Dollywood: Enjoy our wonders, natural or man made."
Nice one! I also liked last year's slogan: "The Sky Is No Longer The Limit" in reference to the park's new Wild Eagle coaster.

Even Six Flags had a nice slogan back in the day: "Come For The Rides...Stay For The Shows." Pretty clever & catchy. But nowadays, the slogan should be: "Sorry, No Refunds."

Dollywood is a fantastic park, but that sounds like something I'd see at a restaurant in China trying to appeal to English speakers...

I did like "The Sky Is No Longer The Limit" that Dollywood did last year.

A Chinese restaurant that says, "Make time for Happy" could be construed in so many ways.
Do they have a separate massage parlor upstairs by chance?

i actually like the "Make Room for Happy" slogan. A lot. But I was amused by your post and laughed out loud (for real) when I read that.

I think my least favorite was Magical Gatherings. But most of them suck.

The best was YOAMD, because I wanted to win a night in the castle. I dragged two people down with me for weekends just hoping we would win that. Alas, all I ever got was a FP lanyard in the AK.
