Hi Folks.Todays food blog has a picture of " Wisconsin cheddar soup " and it looks yummy.Got me thinking again to the only thing I enjoyed at Le Cellier back in 2010,and that was the signature soup with Moosehead beer in it.It was really good.So have you had a soup at WDW that has blown you away.Even the New England Clam Chowder from CHH was really nice. Now if only a chef at Disney could create my all time favourite " Cullen Skink " I would be in heaven.;)

I agree the Cheddar cheese soup at Le cellier was outstanding. I have had lobster bisque a couple of places Yachtsman, Chefs de France, and Shula's but I think the best was the loster & corn bisque at Narcoossee's. I enjoyed the milestrone at Tutto Italia also. Of course, one of my favorites is the strawberry soup at 1900 Park Fare.

I had the lobster bisque at Les Chefs for lunch and it was very tasty, and I want to try the chedder soup and I would like to have some baked french onion soup this visit! Never tasted the strawberry soup at 1900 although lots of people were getting it and kind of like mickey waffles they had to keep replenishing it on the line!

I have to go with the cheddar cheese soup as being a show stopper for me. It's been a while since I had it, but combined with that pretzel bread...wow that's hard to beat..

UHmmm Hatter..you mind elaborating on "Cullen Skink"?? ;)

Ok,Cullen Skink is a Scottish fish soup made from smoked haddock, potatoes, and onions, and cream. Its smokier than American chowder.;)

Le Cellier's cheddar cheese soup is really the only reason I kept making ADRs there, haha. The steaks are good, but there are other restaurants in WDW with better.
It's not fancy, but I can't wait to try the french onion soup at Be Our Guest. I loooove onion soup.

The Smokey Portobello Soup at Artist Point is quite possibly one of the best things I've ever eaten. My SO and I ate there just cause we were staying in the WL and the soup blew us away. We've been back several times mainly for that.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to mention this one!! It's my favorite. :D

I once had a vegetable soup for lunch at Les Chefs de France that was delicious, too, but I never encountered it again. :(

We have had more soups and chowders on this vacation than I expected, and we liked nearly all of them. My favorite might have been the one from our first night. We went to Olivia's and I had their soup du jour, which was a cream of chicken curry soup. It was outstanding on its own and even better with Olivia's signature coconut bread. In my opinion, it should be an everyday item for them. Their conch chowder, which was tomato-based, was also excellent. I love red chowders! I also very much enjoy the gumbo and the French onion soup at Boatwright's. Those aren't exactly unusual, though. Probably not something most would go out of their way to have.

I have the recipe - made it once when we had a friend over for dinner. He said it was good but too cold.

Another that I used to make at home a lot is the Baked Potato Soup from the Carnation Cafe in Disneyland. I've never had it there but if the home version is any indication it must be fantastic. There's nothing about it that's good for you, so I try not to make it that often anymore. This year the agreement is that I will make it on the day of the first snow. :D
