Riverside or Wilderness Lodge?

We have an opportunity to upgrade for only $250 to WL. I'm really debating over this. Our last visit we stayed at POFQ.

Yea, I'm gonna' continue to landslide the responses.
We've stayed at POR twice over the years and absolutely love it, but we went to WL for the first time on our trip this past July to have dinner at WCC and were blown away by that resort.
This a complete no-brainer for only an extra $250.
Even on our, these days, tight budget I could easily find ways to come up with the extra jack. :)

Wow... I never have been offered only $ 250 dollars to go from one category to another...Hands down go for WL, I am kind of sorry I am not staying there over Thanksgiving because it really sounds nice. Your husband will probably like it too even if he isn't thrilled yet with all things Disney..I have a boyfriend like that...You are going to have a wonderful trip!

Y'all loved WL over GF and POLY?
Yes! Our first stay was the GF, which we loved, the 2nd time round we tried the Poly which we really enjoyed but chose the GF as our favourite. We decided to go back to the GF in Sept, we even booked it BUT then we heard of the construction work and closures that we're taking place for our stay SOOO we transferred to the WL which we were unsure about BUT we loved it, it turned out to be our favourite resort!

I just booked Thanksgiving week the other day, I procrastinated all of October because of flights... finally decided we would not do a cruise and we would drive and do only WDW, then couldn't decide between POLY, BWI, and WL...ended up picking POLY, so when I see WL loved more than POLY I am like oh no!!! Did I choose wrong!!

The Poly is also a lovely resort, for us there were too many children (oh the irony! Children at a WDW resort, I know!) we are a childless couple and found the GF and the WL quieter. Plus I personally wasnt keen on the style of food but that's just a personal thing!

We would return to the Poly without question, the atmosphere is really relaxing, the theming is superb too, but we just preferred the WL, as we are from the UK it was nice to stay at a resort that had a touch of America to it, as the other 2 resorts make you forget you're in the USA, we liked being aware we were there!!!

Don't worry you will love the Poly, enjoy your trip!

For me, if it was only $250 extra, I'd go for WL since I've never stayed there. However, POR is my favorite resort and is so beautiful by the river, especially at night.

Thanks! I have never NOT gone over to the POLY to either walk thru their lobby or monorail ride or get coffee since first visiting WDW in 2011. And have said, oh this is the resort I really want to stay at, and of course I pick the most expensive time to do so...making me slightly nervous about it living up to my expectations.. But I am really excited for this trip!!
