BWV vs BCV

My fiancee and I are planning on renting DVC points for a few nights before our honeymoon cruise next October. Afterall, what would a honeymoon be without a little bit of Disney or F&W? We want to be in the EPCOT resort area, which basically leaves us with BWV and BCV. While BWI/BWV is one of those places that we have both wanted to stay at for a while now (the Boardwalk is one of our favorite areas to visit), we keep getting drawn into the BCV.

So anyone who has stayed at either BWV or BCV or both, I would love to hear any thoughts and opinions that you may have to help us decide which to choose.

We stayed at BWV this past July and I LOVED it. We're staying at BCV next July for 1st time. I prefer the theme of the Boardwalk more myself. I also like that the Boardwalk Villas are connected to the main hotel, where as the BCV are not. You do get Stormalong Bay at BCV, plus they have Beaches and Cream, which is awesome. However, Boardwalk has the better all purpose store, plus the bakery which is fabulous in the morning.

I've stayed at both. I actually got married in the Boardwalk gazeebo.

The Boardwalk is a bit more busy and the Beach Club more laid back. The Beach Club has the more spectacular pool, but the Boardwalk has better access to shops and restaurants, but since they are so close they virtually share amenities.

One of the best parts of staying at either is the Boardwalk in the morning, if you get up before the crowds it is an amazing place to run or take a stroll.

I agree with Bobby. They're so close that they share amenities, for all intents and purposes. I've never been drawn to the Beach Club like I am the Boardwalk, but if you are, that's probably the one I would choose. I think its rooms are a little prettier and having access to those pools might be nice. That said, I believe the Beach Club costs a little more than the Boardwalk in terms of DVC points. If you're renting, that's something you may want to consider. Also, if you want to rent points during Food & Wine and stay at an Epcot area resort, do it as soon as the 11 month window opens up. It's getting harder and harder to do that. We were unsuccessful in our attempts to rent a studio at the Boardwalk this year.

Been to both. Beach gets the edge for me because the quick service shop is better and closer in my opinion. Plus the walk to Epcot is shorter. And the boardwalk restaurants are a walk or boat ride away at any moment. I felt like the bus to MK was better at Beach, shorter maybe because I think Boardwalk shares with dolphin and swan. Beach pool blows away boardwalk pool.

Yeah, the Boardwalk does share buses with the Swan and Dolphin. Some times of year, all five resorts share buses. That was the case when we stayed at the Boardwalk one November. The bus service was the only thing I didn't like about being in an Epcot area resort.
