What I find odd about the menu is the fact that the dessert section (even for dinner) is so pedestrian. It's especially baffling, considering Disney seems to be positioning BoG as one of the premier table-service locations in WDW -- even breaking a longstanding tradition regarding the serving of alcoholic beverages in the process.

Why would they have only cupcakes (which you can get almost anywhere on property) and cream puffs, when French cuisine is known for its variety of creative sweets and desserts? No creme brulee? Dessert crepes? Poire belle Helene? Not even a selection of madeleines or macarons?

I'm just imagining having a nice grilled strip, a glass of pinot noir, and then, as the piece de resistance... a lemon cupcake...

Hopefully they are really good cupcakes...they do look nice, but I see your point. That said, gourmet cupcakes are very in right now.

I agree, they do look very good, and i live right by a cute little boutique cupcake store called Sweet! by Holly Wilder, who has been on Cupcake Wars on Food network twice. The cupcakes are absolutely delicious, its really interesting the way these gourmet cupcakes now put so much flavor into such a tiny dessert that we’re use to just tasting like slightly flavored bread and sugary icing.

But back to what Kuhio was saying it in all honesty is probably just so they did not have to have 2 different dessert menus for lunch and dinner. Which will make it easier on the culinary team so they don’t have to worry about that conversion as much as well as save them time and money. But who know’s from what I’ve heard about the equipment they are putting in that kitchen they will definitely be able to make some delicious desserts.

And F&B tends to change menus in MK every couple years so you never know, one day you might be able to get some creme brûlée or some other french pastries.

So we've gotten the wine/beer price list, but I still haven't seen the regular dinner (or lunch for that matter!) prices. Have those been released yet?
