Ear Hats - Best Place to Get Them?

While we have been to WDW many times, this trip will be our first trip with our kids and thus our first time purchasing the all important "Mickey Ears". We will be buying one for everyone in our party and would like to have them embroidered. My question is should we get them in Downtown Disney, Magic Kingdom, or somewhere else? Also, will I have to come back another day to pick them up after the embroidery is done? I have an annual pass so I do get a discount at some stores including World of Disney. So if they sell them there, that may be the best option.

yeah at the chapeau, and i believe at dtd its at the memories store i believe there is a wdwmagic article with the actual name that was fairly recent

There's actually 3 places at MK you can have it done, the Chapeau (which is the one that connects to the Confecitonary) and then there's a smaller one that is connected to the gift shop that you will exit through when you are done meeting Mickey and Minnie in Town Square Theatre, there also is Sir Mickey's which is probably the least crowded and easist to get your hat fast (of course, if you're going during a peak park time, it'll all depend). IF you're more in the mood for having a lot embroidery options, head to DHS if you can, their place there has the most options available! A lot more than the 3 normal fonts and few colors! And they can do embroidery on almost anything!

That is good to know, we will have to check out DHS. We really are just looking to get the hats for one great pic. Thanks!

I like the gift shop when you enter Hollywood Studios. They have great selection of hats, and other items you can buy such as towels and bath robes, ect...

All of them can be personalized. I forget the name of it, the shop has a lot of photo frames in it as well

You might try ordering them through the website under floral and gifts. The cheapest package is $35 and comes with an autograph book and a few treats. Then they will be waiting for you in your room when you get there and you will not have to wait for them or stand in any lines.

Thanks. This would be perfect except we are renting a house off property. (So nervous about this! :confused:) Maybe I will try that next time, when the kids are old enough to appreciate it.
