I am asking that question because last week I ordered Wild Mushroom Filet Mignon for Lunch and I got the dish around 5 minutes after I ordered it. I got it while I was eating pretzel bread. I didn't had a chance to eat all the bread sticks they had matter of fact.

I went to Le Cellier many times in the past and it took more than 5 minutes for Mushroom Filet Mignon. I ordered it medium like I did in the past and it was the first time ever I got the main entree that quick.

I have never been to Le Cellier (have an ADR in Oct). However, I have worked in many restaurants, and assuming your steak was cooked correctly, I would say they just have them ready to go like at a banquet hall. Which makes me much less excited about this place.

Have other people experienced this?

EDIT: Did your entire parties order come out together in 5 min?

All the main entrees for the party came out together in 5 minutes. We didn't order any appetizers like we did in the past.

Now come to think of it, this also happened the last time we were there... I hadn't even finished my cheddar soup when they brought my steak out...

We ate at Le Cellier last summer. While I didn't feel it was worth the hype (i.e. food quality/taste), our meal also wasn't rushed like this and had a nice relaxing pace. We had a decent amt of time to enjoy bread before our soup came out, and then a reasonable wait time between finishing our soup and receiving our steaks.

Hmm! I also didn't think the hype lived up to it's name.My fillet was just average, but how did you ask to have it done? If it was rare then 5 mins would not be a problem to the chefs.

With it being the most popular item being ordered I would imagine that they have fillets going at all times so they are ready quickly. The food is good here but not worth 2 credits. I think when lunch goes signature the hype will go down you can a steak other places for 1 credit.

Mine has never come out that fast, but they do bring it out pretty promptly. I think wehre the filet is the most popular itemm on the menu, they probably have them going all the time (as someone else said above)

I asked it to be done medium.

Then that leads me to believe they are just making steaks left and right in the back and sending them out. I'd be concerned it was sitting under a heat lamp. Really for a steak to be cooked properly and served properly you want to under cook it by a minute or two because the internal temperature is still rising.

You have to look at the carry-over effects and pull it before it's hit medium. And realistically for a steak to be cooked from thawed to medium should have been a tiny bit longer.

I'd expect more from a place that takes two dining credits. When you go to a Mortons or Ruths Chris or a good Chop House you expect the meal to take a tiny bit. The waiter should have your apps come out - take a look at your table and gauge how far into them you are. When you're almost done he SHOULD fire the ticket to queue the cook to start working on the steaks.

Ideally this lets you finish your apps - let them clear the table - and give you a minute or two to digest before slamming more food in front of you.

Alas, Disney is more concerned about table turnover it would seem. The more people in and out the door the more money they make. The more tables they go through the more tips the waiters/waitresses make.

I will assume by the lack of comments to the contrary, the meal was to your likeing?

We had a great time at Le Cellier! The service was great and well timed but this visit I felt the steak was a different quality. My DH says it was a onetime wonderful experience!:)

The meal wasn't quite to my liking compare to the 2nd time I went to Le Cellier on the trip. The 2nd time at Le Cellier, I order the same entree, but it took longer to cook.

Matter of fact a member of my party like the New York Strip better the 2nd time we went there compare to the first time.

had a great lunch at le cellier today. two filet, one medium rare and the other medium. came out about 8 -10 minutes after ordering. portion is clearly smaller than the dinner steak, so for those who say there is no difference there is indeed. Also one of the two filet had a bit of fat on it, not quite the same as the "AAA Canadian Beef" vs the "local stock" that you get with lunch. service was nice and friendly, and they were attempting to accommodate some walk ins.

Back from WDW!Counting down to DLP in November!
As a major Le Cellier fan for years i have to say i still love this place and have always had my steak exactly as ordered! Starters and desserts have always been great and i love some of their sides!

But, (you knew there was a "but" coming) After going to the Yachtsman in August and with LC apparently destined to go completely "signature" i dont see myself returning! LC was great and i even really enjoyed my 3 trips there in August but, for 2 credits OR out of pocket The Yachtsman beats it hands down!

Maybe someday ill return for some cheese soup and pretzel bread but when that will be is hard to know!

And the worst thing is, i had possibly my best ever experience there in August, everything from the food, the drinks to the service and atmosphere was perfect! But it still does not deserve signature status! Shame!

This happened in 2009. But I thought it was just by chance. In 2009, they were doing the upgrade to the dining plan - go to online - and there was all this craziness b/c you couldn't do the ADR's 180 days out but 90 days. So it was frantic. The day of the ADR, was one of the two week over lap that the dining plan online and the phones over booked. It was mayham! They were overbooked by 200 each night! It was nuts! We were sitting in the hallway and they were brining us drinking and bread. When we ordered, it was like soup, meal and bread came at once. They were just pushing people out.

I really don't like when restaurants do that. There is a really good American style grill here that rushes food out often. I might be a couple bites into a salad when My steak comes out.

At LeCellier as a previous poster said its probably just them trying to hit a certain number on table turnover. The ADR system measures turnover and sets the number of ADRs they can book in a time period, so they may just be trying to hit a higher number. Thats kind of a bummer though, in a nice steakhouse most diners want to relax and enjoy their meal.
