Which ADR's should I pay out of pocket?

Hi everyone,

I went ahead and made more ADR's than I have DDP credits - oops!! I have 10 TS credits and 12 ADR's (2 of which take 2 TS credits). Which one's am I better off paying for out of pocket?

Sept 19: Whispering Canyon Cafe - Dinner

Sept 20: 'Ohana - Breakfast
Garden Grill - Dinner

Sept 21: Hollywood & Vine - Lunch

Sept 22: Akershus Royal Banquent Hall - Breakfast
Rainforest Cafe (DTD) - Dinner

Sept 23: -None-

Sept 24: Cinderella's Royal Table - Breakfast (2 credits)
Chef Mickey's - Dinner

Sept 25: Tusker House - Donald's Safari Breakfast

Sept 26: T-Rex Cafe - Dinner

Sept 27: Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue (2 credits)

Sept 28: Crystal Palace - Lunch

It will all lie in the math. Ultimately, the deciding factor will be what you order at Rainforest, T-Rex and Whispering Canyon. Right now it looks like Ohana is the lowest price and Tusker House and Crystal Palace come in a tie for second so they will be the best to pay for out of pocket. However, if you order light at Trex, Whispering Canyon and Rainforest, they could potentially be less.

We have to pay for one meal OOP in Sept and we went through and priced everything out and picked the place we knew we might not eat as much or where we would pick a cheaper entree.

I read on one these threads some advice I am going to try in a few weeks. At places such as the Rainforest Cafe and t-rex my DH and I are going to split two appetizers. More than enough food and we are really just in these places for the kids, not the food. Hope it helps.

My opinion is usually pay for breakfast oop since they are cheaper, however character meals (esp CRT) can awfully expensive so of all your places I'd pay for Rainforest and TRex then maybe a breakfast or 2 if you need the credits

Breakfast will be less expensive by far than paying for lunch or dinner

Hollywood and Vine is absolutley HORRIBLE please reconsider you options at DHS for that meal

We always pay out of pocket for the Hoop Dee Doo so we can get category 1 seating right up front.

We are only doing Hollywood and Vine because I have 3 young kids who LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Jake, Oso, and the Little Einsteins. We did it 2 years ago and the food was blah but my daughter had a ball there, and that was with her not knowing who JoJo and Goliath were.

I say pay for your last meal out of pocket. From my experience the Dining plan feeds you so much that towards the end I start turning food away, I'm so full! So I would bet you spend the least amount of money on one of your last meals

I appreciate it. I have twin boys that will be 19 months old, so I have a feeling that we won't be doing too much eating at any of the restaurants. hahaha!

Check out the Disney Food Blog (www.thedisneyfoodblog.com) for their post on the best value for your dining credits. This should help to let you know which ones you should definitely use the dining credits for.

If you go to www.allears.net, you can go under "walt Disney World" and then under "Dining" and then under "Menus" and see all menus and current pricing - I love it because I can dream of what I plan to enjoy in one month and 2 days!!
