My son Brendan found a Disney episode of Unwrapped (Food Network) of all the goodies and treats they have there. We're surprising the kids with the trip this year (30 days tomorrow! EEEK) And all I wanted to say was "OMGosh, we can get that....and that....and oooooooo that looks delicious"...haha

30 DAYS!!!!!
(I'm not at all excited)

We need time for things to happen.
You're not a freak. Especially not amongst the cast of characters here.
If we were surprising my kids, and it my wife? She can't keep a secret to saver her life.
The first time the kids said.."Hey look a Disney themed..Unwrapped" She would
have been..."Ok fine...you guys ruined it! I wanted to surprise you guys but you ruined it.. You're father and I
have been trying so hard to keep this a secret...but..."

Let your freak flag fly - you're in good company, here. :D

Because every time I see "Modern Marvels" or "Unwrapped" pop up on my digital cable - I always check the information to see if it's the Disney World episode. Sometimes I'll even search "TV and OnDemand" for anything Disney related.

Nothing gets you more excited for a trip than a Disney show - so you can say "I'll be there in # days! I'll be eating THAT in # days!"

Britt --

You seem so sweet. I am excited for you as your trip approaches. What treats did they feature on that show?

Do you have a list of things you are excited to try?

How are you going to tell the kids that you are going to WDW?

You should film yourselves telling them and put it on YouTube and send a link to Disney PR (Jennifer Fickley-Baker and others at the Disney Parks Blog would be a great place to start). They LOVE seeing things like that if the kids give a very excited, natural reaction.

Keep us posted!

You also made me think of another great show. It's called something like "My Backyard Disney". Sometimes they have links to it on the Disney Parks Blog. That's the show where they remodel people's backyards to have themes like various Disney parks attractions.

I enjoy watching the home remodel shows and this one is a new favorite of mine. Have only seen the online episodes as I don't know what cable station it's actually on, but I think it's Home and Garden.
