We frequently stay at the Beach club but are yet to actually go here. Whenever I think ice cream, I think Ghirardelli's in downtown Disney. I've always always wanted to attack the kitchen sink, but wouldn't want to go at it alone because my support team always so no go. There are many other options though that I think I will add to the list now. Plus I could really go for a chocolate malt right about now!

We need time for things to happen.
We gave that bad boy a shot our first year. I tried surprising my family with it, but I had a few challenges along the way.
The surprise would be let's go for an ice cream..."okay dad that sounds great" then "wait i'm going to order something we'll all like" cue: bells whistles...alarms...giant amazing sundae arrives...

First problem...We ate a Cape May just before going there no one was really ready for ice cream.
luckily they're ice cream hogs..I convinced them.

Well then I didn't realize they had walk up service...So when I suggested, let's go inside for sundaes... everyone was...like.."no come on we don't want to go sit down..let's just get a cone at the window.."

Finally through gritted teeth I had to confess my ulitmate plan of surprising everyone with a bad a$$ sundae named the kitchen sink. Oh well we all ended up with smiles on our faces...and about 5lbs heavier..

FYI - We barely made a dent in this thing

How does Beaches and Cream compare to Ghirardelli? Never tried Beaches and Cream but Ghirardelli always has a line like its giving away money.

Ghiradelli's is amazing! I don't think they give away money, but they do give free samples of chocolate (which is almost better!). Beaches and Cream is just about on par with Ghiradelli's, in my opinion, and we make room for both on our trips.

Sometimes beaches is better, sometimes Ghirardelli. Just flip a coin, although for the last 3-4 months beaches' carry out has been super slow also when the make a two scoop sundae to go, they use too small a bowl so the ice cream and fudge wind up melting and falling put of the bowl, ask for a larger bowl.
