ADR arrival times?

Hi all!

We are staying at the WL lodge in Sept, and have an ADR at Chef Mickeys at 7am, apparently there is a boat that leaves the WL at 6.45am, is it too risky waiting for the boat? My OH says you have to be at your reservation 15 minutes before hand, (I don't generally trust his opinion!!! ;) ) we were originally staying at the GF (I'm sure I've bored a lot of you with that one!) and was annoyed we would have had to get a cab. I would like to avoid doing that if possible! Is it acceptable to turn up on the dot???

They are not picky at all about arrival times - we arrived at Yachtsman 45 minutes late once, a torrential thunderstorm stopped the boat we were on. It was busy but we didn't have to wait long. As the PP said, do ask at the hotel about a bus, a lot of special breakfast buses run before the park buses start.

Hope you enjoy the Lodge, we love it.

Thanks all, we have pushed it back to 7.15am, we were planning to be at HS by rope drop so hopefully were not pushing our luck!

You can always get a cab, too. We have done this for early ADRs. Will do it again this summer. We are staying at AKL and have an ADR at Chef Mickeys at 7 am as well. From WL, it wouldnt be all that expensive. Enjoy breakfast

ps if you are within 15 minutes of your time, you'll be fine!

Arriving on time or a few minutes late, I doubt this would be an issue. It has happened to us, getting caught up somewhere and arriving 10 minutes after ADR time and we have not had a problem.
