New on here (although I've been lurking for about a year) so hello everyone from a not so sunny England. :D

As an introduction I thought I'd share my current favorite way of getting that Magical feeling when missing 'home'. I search You Tube for 'Surprise Disney Visits' - theres some really heartwarming stuff on there that really gets the magic flowing. Enjoy!

Youtube has some terrific videos regarding Disney :) Not only do we view the surprise visits and vacation videos, but love the restaurant videos and resort videos :)

I have a great way to make you feel Disney is the UK in August.

Go to your local gym, bring some Disney Posters, a music player that plays "its a Small World" on a loop.

Set up the posters and music player in Sauna turn up the heat to say at least 95 degrees, make sure the humidity is close to 100%.

If the Sauna Hold 5 people, put in 15 people, and strollers with cranky toddlers and make sure everybody stands.

After standing at least 30 minutes, the people sweating, getting the stroller pushed into your legs every few minutes.

With the music "its a Small World" cranked and the toddlers whining you can feel WDW in August in the UK.

I know exactly how you feel: the longing, frustration, and a hint of jealousy toward others who are taking a trip (or on one now) to Disney in the very near future. Forum member HollyBelle suggested to me: "try writing a trip report." And, I have to say it's been working! I just posted my first Pre-Trip report, which not only gave me something to focus on, but also something to look forward to.

Besides lurking around on this site, I also watch YouTube videos, look at photo albums from trips past, drive 1 1/2 hrs. to the closest Disney Outlet, or plan, plan, PLAN for my next trip (117 days & counting)!

I deal with the Disney blues by: reading TRs on this site, looking on Pinterest at different photos of parks/resorts/FOOD. YouTube videos of anything/everything Disney World. Looking through my "Disney Box" - has all my previous trip items such as old park maps, tickets, pictures, etc...

But nothing beats actually planning a trip. Once my trip is booked - planning every detail (even if you don't follow it) is the best! I look at what food I want to eat, which park to visit which day, etc. And it helps if you're doing all of these things while listening to Disney music.

I love going to the Disney outlet- it is about 2 1/2 hours away, but I already got my fix this year on the "twice upon a year" sale! I actually got one of my boys a tee shirt for 2$!:D I also shopped online for 25% off and got myself some tee shirts for $12.99! Good deal! Happy planning!:D

I agree. We'll be looking to book next May so it'll be all systems go then. I'm kind of hoping that once the new baby gets here I'll lose a couple of months to sleep deprivation!!!

The best thing I can do that instantly transports me to the World is Sorcerer Radio and Mouse World radio. Any bit of music, theme song, attraction music and poof! I'm there.

This may sound strange, so don't laugh too hard, but does anyone else know the "Disney smell"? I don't mean body odor after 8 hours in the Florida sun, but that particular scent that Disney stores seem to have? I can't really describe it, but it's kind of unique. Even Disney stores located in malls have this smell. A cast member commented to me once that I wasn't the first person to comment on this phenomenon. I smell that, and I'm in Disney heaven. I wish I could bottle it and spray my house and car with it.
