Is this pin fake?

I just got this pin from eBay. I didn't really go looking for it, just came across it while browsing. Also, I think I paid like, $2 for it.

After a couple of days, I took it out of the bag and turned it over and this is what it looks like. I can't find anything on pinpics.com about what it's supposed to look like, but I'm ready to accept facts. It's a fake, isn't it? I guess you really do get what you pay for.

All I can tell you is if it doesn't have the Official Disney Pin marking on the back it more than likely is not a "real" pin.
Be careful when purcahsing pins on ebay, make sure the seller has the mark pictured if not I suggest contacting them and asking if the pin does. It's not fun buying pins on ebay and then receiving them to only find out they are "fake" and can not be traded (Trust me I have done this myself). Though at the end of the day if you like the pin it really shouldn't matter you just won't be able to trade it.

Can't really tell from the pic of the back of the pin, but if it is a cloisonne (enamel) AND it has the Disney seal on the back then it is probably real
and unkadug if it is a fake and somebody really wants it you can trade it, BUT you can't trade it with a CM and many collectors will pass on it as well

I've gotten many great pins (most retired) off of ebay, but you have to do your homework.

I suppose you could trade it with another collector if he or she really liked it. However comma according to the Pin Trading rules all pins traded must have (c) Disney mark on the back or it can not be accepted by CM's, and as mentioned before may and usually will be passed on by most collectors.

Some ones on eBay were extra stamped product that maintain the DPT logo on it. Another big tell is if the color is off or the internal image borders are larger than what they would be. Any of that makes it non official.

That pin certainly looks real to me. The pictures (both front and back) appear to be identical to the one I have. Mine was obtained directly from Disney, as a DVC member, during the millennium celebration.
