Hello,

We are planning a trip around the world to visit all Disney Parks. We've been to WDW countless of times and i used to work in California and had my annual pass for several years. So now, we are ready for something new. All parks in one trip!!

If any of you ever attempted such an expedition, tell us where to begin. When is the best time, weather wise, to visit them, etc..

This is our first post, so if you want to join us in the planning stage, be our guest.

I haven't been to any of the parks besides WDW but can I just say wow, that sounds like a really amazing time. Just out of curiosity, how many weeks are you blocking off for the trip? Will you explore some of the cities/country you will end up visiting (ie site see in Tokyo...wonderful city, ect) as well or will it be wholly Disney focused?

We just came back from work, and our brochure from Disneyland Paris was waiting for us. The 20th of DLP looks very promising.

We will start a facebook pages so we can post while we are away. We are novice with all this facebook stuff, so we need to figure it out!!! We are from another generation, i guess!!

Wow. Quite an endeavor. Best of luck. I've only traveled domestically, so no help from me, unfortunately.

Thank you for all the kind words.

We are trying to figure out which route to take right now...
Do we start with WDW or do we finish with it?
What do you think?

First off, sorry, since you were asking for advice. If you do not have a passport, start that process now. Sometimes our lovely government is really good about getting passports processed and sometimes...they suck worse than The Black Cauldron (sorry, hate that movie with a passion...future seeing pig, enough said).

I've been told once you've been to Tokyo Disney there is no way you'll ever look at WDW the same way again. So maybe towards the beginning? Though I'm not sure...it depends on which way you want to go around the globe (flying to Europe or Asia a whatever time of the year you choose, one may be cheaper deal. I'd honestly put my longest plane rides more towards the beginning of the trip).

Apparently, it is easier to go from east to west. This would mean WDW, then DL, then , tokyo, Hong Kong, ... shanghai..., Paris

I am so excited about your upcoming trip of a lifetime! I am so intrigued by this and want to start saving now too. I think if I was able to start planning I would start with DL then work my way west and end with WDW. I hope to follow this post and please as you make plans share because I would love to hear about them. Good luck and happy researching. :ROFLOL:

Thank you for the kind words.

It's not a bad idea to finish with WDW. It's the first park i visited in 1976!. I was 5 at the time!! That brings back memories. I'll have to dig out some old pictures od that time! It's sooo going to be a trip down memory lane...

Or, we can start there and finish there 2 month later, like a marathon of Disney Park. We'll call a family meeting on that one!!

Does anyone knows when Shanghai Disneyland is set to open?

Right now it looks like late 2015. I understand that the Shanghai government would like to see this a little sooner than later.

PS - I have been to all the "Disneylands", but not on the same trip.

I will be going to WDW again this year, Disneyland in 2013, Disneyland Paris in 2014, and Shanghai in 2015. Was in Hong Kong Disneyland in 2010. Also want to sail on all four Disney Cruise Line ships. So far Disney Magic (2011) and Wonder (years ago).

So, it does not open until 2015.

And the ratatouille ride does not open until 2014. I will have to gage this in fixing out date of departure.

Otherwise, we'll have to come back later. Paris is not that far.

I agree with an earlier post.... I would start at Disneyland and then go west from there. I live on the east coast and actually have thought about this myself....Start it where it all began at Disneyland, then hop over the Pacific (can you be more pacific? no I'll be atlantic...sorry couldnt resist Duck Dynasty humor) to Toyko Disney, Hong Kong Disney, Disneyland Paris and back over the Atlantic to the good'ol USA and WDW... Of course I would look at the temps averages for the time of year for each country..make sure there are not threats against foreigners, the exchange rates for the various countries... It's a lot to think about and plan.... Good Luck and you have to post a lot of pics!!!
