I have not been to CRT in quite a while so I am not help there but I do find myself at Outback on occasion. Outback is a decent middle of the road steak restaurant. It is not as bad as ordering a steak at a Denny's or IHOP but not as good as getting one at Ruth's Chris. The quality of the cut will make a pretty big difference. The sirloin is there most commonly ordered steak and by no coincidence it is also their least expensive and worst quality. Their filet and rib eye are more expensive but a fairly good step up in quality.

There are several locations located all around WDW. This link should help you find the closest one to where you will be.

Outback

We were trying to go on a budget (trying! HaHa) this month. We had gotten gift cards to Outback and Chilli's last Christmas. So we decided we would adventure Off-site (gasp) for a change to eat two dinners.

We went to the Outback on Irlo Bronson Mem Hwy. It is very close to the Animal Kingdom side of WDW, easily accessible by using Sherberth Rd. (Side Note: An advantage to AKL is its easy access to the real world) We found the wait/crowdedness to be much better than expected. In our town, a 45 min wait for a table is normal, here it was 0. The service was better than I experienced at my previous meal on property. The food was delicious, and relatively inexpensive, as they had an app, a steak, and a desert for $20.

And for the sake of completeness, Chilli's was fine too. A little further away on Bronson. They had good pricing to. Best part was they had live, roaming entertainment: Baloon artist/singer/comedian.

There are much better places on property to go for a steak but the cost is around 3-5 times that of Outback so the should be better. Shula's at the Dolphin would be the best with the Yachtsman at the Yacht Club coming in a close second.

Breakfast is better at CRT

Our family has eaten at CRT for all three meals through out our various trips to MK. The consensus is Breakfast is best. We like the french toast and granola yogurt. We also get the first available ADR so we can get in the park early and start our day.

A better dinner choice is California Grill...that's my opinion...just a monorail ride from the MK.

My experience with Outback is that they are VERY liberal with the salt. Of course that sells drinks, and drinks are where the money is at.

Anytime you see something "seasoned" it is code for "lots of salt"

Passabe meat, a weird decor, and lots of salt.

It's not that bad - I happen to know a guy who owns an Outback, and they do a lot of charity work, and when they do charity steaks, they are pretty good, because they are just steaks on the grill. - it is just when they cook in their kitchens, the like the salt.

After doing CRT on our last two trips we are skipping it this year in favor of Citricos, the novelty has worn off for the moment and there are much better places to dine esp when on the dining plan!
And for the princess fix we will be having both breakfast and dinner at Akershus, both will be 1 credit whereas CRT is 2, plus the food at Akershus is so much better

There is one on I-Drive, basically across from the Premium Outlet Mall. No easy way to get there without a car. As was mentioned, there is another on Irlo Bronson (aka "192")--it may be a quicker cab ride, depending which resort you are in.

I have to say that t he MK is my favorite park..but least favorite food venue...the CRT menu is limited and expensive..but a must if your kids have never been. I hope the new resturante in Fantasyland is better. I concur that the Yachtsman Steakhouse is fantastic...also the other sit down place in the yacht club is also very good...and their steaks while not as good are a much better price

The dinner has changed!! Food was Ok. The last time I went I took my 4 year old for her birthday it was not about the food but the atmosphere.

Outback is a chain restaurant..I could take it or leave it. Please if you are willing to spend that amount on a steak dinner or CRT please try Le Celliar at Epcot Canada. For a great off site Steak house I would recommend Charley's as it is considered to be one of the top 4 in the US.

My first thought was, "Where the hell do these people live that they don't have an Outback or Longhorn?!"...so I looked. And I get it now. :)

I don't eat in the castle and can't compare the two. But I've eaten everywhere else except Japan and China and Outback is as good as any of them.
